Been looking at power steering kits online. Any advice on which ones to stay away from? Has anyone had any bad luck with one or the other? My tire sizes will probably never go above 33" so keep that in mind.

I installed Wild Horses quick ratio steering system. it uses 4 bolts on the steering box instead of 3 but it was simple to install and I like the way it handles on the road and off. im running 35" tires

Don't think you will go wrong with any of the vendors on this website. They usually back up their products. You never mentioned wether you had PS already, do you? If not you can go to a vendor, but I plan to go the rebuilt route. You can get a stock PS pump but I plan to step my game up to the Sagi Pump, Scrapman sells rebuilt ones for less than $100. Go to Advance Auto and get pulley, belts and nuts.

As far as the PS box, if you have one just get it rebuilt. I had one rebuilt by Matt at Texas Off Road, did a jam up job. I've heard great things about PSC too. You can go 4x4x2 from an old F150 4x4, most vendors on here run those and Delphi boxes. keep in mind these boxes may require mods/ adapters plus lengthened steering arms.

I'm am searching for a stock 76-77 bronco PS box bc its a true bolt in job. Those years are like 3.5-4 turn boxes, all other years are 6 turns. You can pick those up between $150-$300 but you need to have it rebuilt for around $200 shipping included. All that's left are the hoses, easily purchased from a vendor. Now I may have forgotten a few items/ details, but searching out these things may save you lots of money.

I prefer the 4x4x2 boxes and definately step up to a saginaw pump. You may want to get a dual return pump for when you upgrade to hydroboost brakes. Just cap off one return for now

If going to Sagi, get to know your pumps! A dual return Sagi pump will not fit a single return mounting bracket. As SteveL mentioned you can cap off the second return line very easily if going dual return Sagi. You said you had 33s but if you plan to go big down the line go with a 4x4x2 converted box. Although a great choice it does come with its headaches buying all the additional parts to make it work. Just know it's not a simple bolt in job. But if you like working on ur bronco it can be a fun conversion. If I can't find the 76-77 box I want I plan to go 4x4x2 route.

If you have PS now, the stock pump will work well wtih 32/33's on the street and off road trails. I run the stock pump and have only only replaced it once in 16 years and that was due to me doing what the sticker clearly states NOT TO DO, prying on the pump in an attempt to tighten the belt.

I've ran the stock pump with Chevy box (very early PS conversion), Stock box and now with the Delphi box.

Now if you want to go hydroboost then stock is out of the question.

Eliminate running around figuring out which bracket, pump, pulley etc combo is gonna work. Our kit comes w/everything including a saginaw pump.
