Wiper wiring and the Painless wiring harness (again probably)

The wash doesn’t go anywhere near the wiper motor. It’s a completely different circuit that runs between the switch and the engine compartment where the pump is.
Forget the wash wire being connected to anything in the windshield.

How did painless get than 4 wire connector so wrong?
Below is the painless instructions.
I am gonna make a new pigtail with the proper 4 wires.
I wonder if centech didn't have the black wire (park) in their kit 20 years ago and the two wires in the pigtail were spliced together.

Did you try testing that wire? Is it hot when the switch is off, on, or only when you push the washer button function?

I am still wiring the bronco. I took the pigtail out, rebuilt it with the 4 wires as painless/ford detail and then did the windshield frame ground and dome light hot.
