Doing an inquire about functional/courtesy items not yet available. 2 very good friends of mine are old school fabricator/race car builders and I have asked them to look into doing what nobody else has done yet. Obviously there has to be a need and minimum amount to order for it to be feasible. So I would like to hear from everyone with the needs for our great EB's. I can go through a vendor too if you are more comfortable. Some of the custom work was done on Shemp Walkers bronco that I restored (do a search) and posted some pics on the board. Thanks, BI

I could only find one post with shemp walker
I see there is a swing out toolbox, and you mentioned a basket rack, but couldn't find any info on that.

So I am still clueless on what your talking about

Any items whether it be suspension/bracketry etc. That's what I'm referring to. Is there a need (by 10-50) by owners for a specific item that is not yet made by the vendors? BI

Good mirror mounts that don't bolt to the doors.
Light mounts that fit with the hard top, but don't sit above the hard top so it still fits in the garage.
Extended electric wiper linkage for guys converting vacuum wipers to the electrics. It would be really nice if the sweep for the driver side got more of the window.

socaltom and jdcone those are what I am talking about. I can modify a hardtop to be a bikini top. The 4 link bolt on I think ironbender is working on that? These are what we need to see if 10+ are willing to go for. BI

Plate bumpers that don't cost 400.00
A 14,000 LB winch that costs 250.00
Chromoly axles with CTM joint that are under 690.00
A fiberglass hood that has a 3-4" raise for 250.00 shipped

Just thinking out loud......................May be out of my mind, but?;D

Center dash console for stereo, etc.

How about a center console that attaches to the underside of the dash to hold a stereo, etc. Lots of guys have fab'd different ones (some are awesome:) ) I'd just like something that fit, and was easy to install. Bare steel would be fine. This would just be one less project I would have to fab. Sometimes it's very nice to be able to just bolt something in place and be done with it. There is nothing better than eliminating things from "The List".

But will the 4 link be less than a grand? I wonder if the cost of the bikini hardtop will be around 4 bones? I'd be all over both of those in a heartbeat!

I would say:
- a steel ProFlow hood
- Matching "Stealth" styled bumpers (front winch and without)
- 4 point rollbar with the rear legs that go to the wheel well top instead of behind and to the floor.
- Better option for under seat storage under the rear and the passenger seats.
- A cheaper set of nerf bars

just off the top of my head... ;)

The center console is very doable. I am going to be working with a well known westcoast EB guru on this stuff along with the fabricators. The 4 link under a grand, this stuff is going to be USA made only sorry. The stell bikini if you provide a factory top, yes 4 bones is doanble and you get a great fit. I'll be home wed. and look this over with the fabricators/consulter. Thanks, BI
