A build that I have been working on and off on for the last 2 1/2 years is ready to go back to it's owner. It's been a good build due to the fact the owner was OK with me trying some new ideas. Most of those ideas turned out well, a few never worked but thats the way it works some time. I did not like the green at first but it has grown on me. The cage thru the dash was fun, I am happy with it. The dash was fun, it turned out well. Bent up a full cage that was more work than I thought it would be. Tom set me up with some really nice headlights. I will do that again. the dash cluster is super nice( dakota digital) I will use them again. We had the seats so the blue is staying for now. Put the FAST efi on it. That seems to be working good. I would of liked more drive time with it but with the heart problem recently I can't drive for several more weeks and the owner wants his truck bak so it's time to say goodbye to this one. here are a few pictures.

Looks good Bax! The wood rimmed wheel and the wood crash pad makes me think of a British sports car! Is that why you painted it green?

I was thinking the same this about the wood trim. I'd love to find a steering wheel like that. Is it new or and older one? Very nice work!

Nice job Roger. The steering wheel and dash look great together. The cage is so subtle you don't even notice it.
Keep us posted on the FAST system. I've had a couple guys ask me about it and having done a howell and MSD both of which have been a little flaky I hope something more stable is available.

Green is a Volkswagen stock color. Its one of those you have to watch each pass with the gun. Changes color each coat. I hated it at first but now I like it.
Truck was completely taken apart, fixed motor, new trans. went thru the front and rear axle, rebuilt the dana 20 added twin stick. Stripped the frame and body. painted both. SEM the underside of the tub. Built cage with frame tie ins. all stainless hardware. EFI added. power brakes added. Ron Francis wiring harness, stainless dash, new flares, bumpers Tuffy, headlights, fancy gauge cluster, stuff like that.

Turned out awesome Roger, I'm sure your customer loves it.

His birthday is sunday. Getting it to him a day early. He has seen pictures. says he is super excited about it.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. It's really good to get this one done.
Now I need another project. I know where a U13 is but I am not sure that. they should go back stock, and I really like to change them up some.

Thats funny, Nick and I talk all the time. He has a standing offer for me to come work at his place. Plus it looks like I am never getting the sweeping job at Bill's. I just dont know how to get past the FL. / NC. commute.
