I've pulled all the bolts. I've tapped lightly with hammer. Tapped not so lightly with hammer. Water pump hasn't moved. What next? Heat or a bigger hammer or ???

Bigger hammer and double check that all bolts are out. Heat may help just be careful of the aluminum timig cover.

I Too would double check that all bolts are out. Plus, once you start going back at it with a BFH, put a hefty wood block between the hammer and the water pump...then go for it!

One trick I do for something like a waterpump that has a whole bunch of bolts and many different lengths.

Take the new pump and as you pull each bolt out of the old pump you put it in the matching hole of the new pump. When all the holes are filled you have all the bolts out. No extra bolts hidden under goo. Once the old pump is off, transfer the bolts back into the old pump. Now you have all the bolts perfectly laid out ready to install into the new pump.

I bet you missed a bolt or two.

Yep. What he ^ said. And the water pump holts do not go through the oil pan. The timing cover bolts do. Lol
