FOUND: 1977 Special Decor Sport Bronco. It is uncut and very original. It has been on a deer lease in TX for a long time. I bought it as a non runner. I put in a fresh battery, cleaned the carb, topped off fluids and she fired right up. No smoke, no lifter ticking. The PS is good and the AT shifts quietly. Lot drives, ready to pull on your trailer to take home and start restoring.

Got her running off a jug right now. I'd recommend cleaning out the tank, don't forget 77's have poly main tanks, so no rust! I have an extra 77 tank I'll throw in, that's already empty.

The frame is good, the front and rear floors have some rust. The rockers have galvanized sheet metal covering them. All glass is good. Odometer shows 65K and I was told it was original because this Bronco was used primarily on the deer lease.

PM me if you're interested or want more details and pictures. THANKS

Awesome find!! Really cool to see the sport model that has the correct black headlight rings instead of the chrome ones and the bright FORD letters instead of the red ones.

It looks like the decal is off on that side towards the back and the usual seam rust, would be good to have pics.

Question--was the spare mount an option?

Appears to be a nice Bronco.

It seems that all the grille letters had red inserts except for possibly some very early '67-68 sport models ( and they may have even had them). The red inserts were plastic that was poured in the letter and they didn't hold up very well and most decayed and fell out of the letters leaving a nice 'chrome only letter'.

Spare tire mount was an option. The decal is missing on the rear quarter. I'm hoping Drew will sell me this one piece.
This has less than the usual seam rust. Of course, I'm not sure what is usual to you.

Here is the grill on my '67 Sport. I don't think it ever had inserts.
