So the wipers on my '74 have gone from working intermittently to not at all. I figured it was the old original motor and replaced it, but no. Then I replaced the switch, and no again. Could someone tell me which is the HOT into the harness? I'll check it with a gauge. If no juice, then i think I'll jump battery to harness and see if I can get any action. if that works, then I'll either trace the break or run a new direct wire with an inline fuse.

It's not the fuse in the block that's in the glove box. so dunno ...
thx, David

You might be grounding a wire, have you checked voltage to the motor? The wire runs inside the window frame, into the body and I have seen a chafe on my wire loom there. Or you may have a bad ground, need to check both.

I have the exact same problem after I installed my wiper drop down bracket... Still have the 1 speed only.... I wonder what I did wrong !? Ha

But I rarely drive it in the rain and the top and doors are off almost 8 months out of the year so I have not missed the intermittent option much....

wires

Dadgum short in two wires in the windshield frame. Ran two new wires and all is well.

...except that it looks like now I've shorted out my brand new blinker switch. Boys was that a pain to install.
