x 2 on the slide hammer attachment. It works great. I think that auto zone or oreilys rent the tool for free.

If its the spindle as suggested above remove the 5 or 6 bolts that hold it to the knuckle, then I put the jam nuts back on to protect the threads of the spindle and hit it on the jam nuts a few times with a deadblow hammer. Broke it loose that way, but I'm redneck when it comes to some things. Just swapped a transmission in the driveway this weekend with just a ratchet strap connected between the roll cage and the gear shifter of a ZF, then rolled it around on a skateboard.

The wheel bearing can basically weld itself to the spindle, sometimes you can beat on it with a punch to knock it loose or you might have to break the race with a chisel, if this is the case expect the spindle to be junk. If you've been thinking about a disc conversion now might be the time.

I took the easier route. Disc conversion being done. Thanks for the input.

I've had the outer nut cross threaded by the previous owner. Had to use a chisel and hammer to drive the nut off. We were able to save the spindle by cleaning up the threads once everything was off, but the nut required replacement .
