It may be a giant comercial, but what else is there?
Talking with the camera guy for them last year he goes all the way back to the Nashville Network days of the 80s.
If you look up the Powerblock website (RTM productions) they already have connections with several other networks. It would be real easy (and very much suspected) that they will just shift to a different network. The 4 shows on Spike are about a quarter of the total shows put out by RTM productions. I could care less about Spike as a channel. Never watch anything outside of what RTM produces.

Anybody remember Shadetree Mechanic? I'm pretty sure they started this whole thing, Sam Memmolo and I forget the other guy's name, i used to watch them every weekend on my tube television (pre-flat screen) think they're both still on TV on separate shows

They already show last week's episodes on one of the CBS Sports channels on Saturday mornings. So they already have an enroad there.
When I chose to DVR them I noticed it was recording two different episodes. The DVR system found them on the other channel for me. Love that damn DVR.

But I agree with you Bowsher.
Nothing else on Spike interests me but the Powerblock.
And yes they are basically one long commercial with breaks for ...Well...More commercials, lol...
Some are better than others at disguising the advertising they are doing while you watch.
But as Bowsher said, "What else is there?"
I'll take what ever gear head TV shit I can get.

I've been watching those shows since the early 80's. Sam and Dave on shade tree mechanic, and several others. I still watch them but most my time is spent on Velocity. Also watch history channel for a couple there as well as discovery but I understand they are moving most of them to Velocity.
Oh well I'll find them where ever they go. Can't get enough of the automotive programs.

Back when cable TV only had 20 something channels, and it was The Nashville Network, not TNN. The TNN moniker came later when they were changing away from Nashville localization and were trying to go more national mainstream. This was a good decade before Shadetree Mechanic came.

Shade tree mechanic was on air from 1992-2000. It was on the network TNN, so does anyone remember any shows when it was still The Nashville Network? I remember watching it back then but drawing a blank on what I was watching??

I wonder if we can't remember because of age, beer, or herbs?? Those were the day WAY before my first Bronco. I think my first EB came in the late 80's.
Now I've had 14 of them but only own one now.
