The original plastic one's seemed to hold up for a long long time.
But I question whether replacement one's are going to be made as well.
What kind of usage did the one's you made go through? Lots of mileage,
heavy dirt usage or show queen?

I went to Fastenall and picked up a couple of 3/8" heim joints. They make a really smooth clutch linkage.

Saw them and decided against them as running around on just main trails
in the NE can be a full "mudding" experience :p. Back in my mudding days, the
brass/bronze pilot bushings held up literally forever, where the needle bearing one's didn't.
That's why when I saw these bushings, they kind of appealed to me.

I went with the bronze because the plastic ones were shot. Can't speak to how long they last because I converted it to c4 only a year later and the clutch pedal went by the wayside...

Under normal circumstances the plastic ones last for many years. If you spray lube the joints now and then too, they'll last many years longer.
But the bronze stuff is a good fit for this application I'd say, and should last even longer. And JB is a good source, and has likely found a need for them.

A stiffer clutch certainly shortens the life of the plastic, but then again it shortens the life of the whole rod too! That's when a heavier duty rod becomes a good upgrade as well.

Got the bushings. At first they sent me 78/79 bushings and
they were way oversized.

E-mailed them and they sent me the right one's, told me to
keep the others, and sent me a nice bottle opener.

Also made an adjustable clutch rod. Don't really need
it adjustable, but it was super easy to tap both sides of rod
and add coupling nuts.

You may have a point if you're in heavy mud, but in that case you'll have mud into way more critical points to woory about first.
I just recommended the little heim joints as an option that makes a really smooth pedal.
