I have an in-tank fuel pump and filter with my Wild Horses M1A1 tank and I'm running AN lines to the Sniper.

What fuel filter should I run between the tank and the Sniper unit? I have a new Russell 40 micron unit but didn't know if that would be the appropriate size.

I never run anything greater than 10 micron for an EFI feed...

Sniper says 10 micron BUT they supply a 13 mircon with their fuel line system. I use a NAPA 3482, the same one in their system. I also run a 100 micron in front of the pump drawing from the main tank, and a 20 micron (NAPA 3033) right before my HP fuel pump. Crazy, I know, but I'm running dual tanks.

Yep, I have a few of those as spares. But, what I am looking for is something that I can run with the AN lines that I have....without the gymnastics of transitioning to rubber hose for the filter.

GM EFI fuel filter with a couple of O-ring to AN adaptors screwed into it. Real simple, you can get replacement filters at any parts store.

I dont know what filters will work for your exact setup but you should be using a 20 micron between the tank and fuel pump and a 10 micron between the fuel pump and throttle body

I use the marine spin-on ones. The filter housings have 1/4 or 3/8" NPT femal ports and you just thread in the male JIC adapter.

Depends. That's exactly how its done on most boat engines. But I do run 20 micron or even larger on suction side in most cases.

Is that for a full flow or a dead headed fuel system? Dead headed it is fine, there isn't the volume of fuel. There is also the size of the filter that comes into play. Most marine fuel filters are very large, where most car pre-filters are very small.

Aeromotive has some good info on pre-filters. Of course they are selling there products, but the basics are still the same.
