I have a 347 Stroker that my brother built before his death. I've got it ready to install in my 74 but the stock 302/351 motor mounts won't fit the block. Are there special motor mounds for the 75zy-6015-aa engines? ?:?

not to my knowledge. Is it a marine motor? Might try to angling the block into place, I had to. And then had to lift one side to make it level before tightening bolts.

There shouldn't be any differences in the motor mounts. What is the space between the mounting holes on the block?

Welcome aboard. Describe how the mounts "dont fit the block". Pic is worth 2,000 words but give it a shot.

My bad you asked motor mounts not frame motor perch. Are you using the heavy duty motor mounts, because I did have to grind the ends down to clear the tab on the block.

What won't match?

There are a few blocks (generally late model stuff) that have an extra bump on the block that may interfere with some motor mounts. This is the almost fit but just not enough fitment. Break out the grinder and clearance the motor mount and it will work.

Paul, now I had to look it up because I’m no spelling bee champ, but apparently there’s no accent on the e in segue. It is of Italian origin, not French, which was also a surprise to learn (for me).

They are OE style mounts that were on my 302 block. You're on the right track. The odd extra tabs with holes on the block won't let mount sit correctly.

I think that's my next step.

Hah! Thanks!
Although I have seen it written my way long ago, I never thought to dig deeper because it matched what I thought the proper little thingy should be.
Hmm, do the Italians pronounce it the way we do? As in segg-way?
Definitely still learning.

Thanks for the replies, even the Italian lesson. Got the ones I have to fit using a BFH to straight up the stamped metal. That & a little grinding on mount. If you need a translation of BFH look it up

Spark plug size depends on the heads. Has nothing to do with the block. You can mix and match almost any of the small block heads over nearly 40 years of production onto almost any block. Then add in all the aftermarket options...
