Could someone tell me about my 1966 VIN?

It is in my garage? I don’t know how to put a picture on the thread?

Thanks in advance
Linda

Become a contributor to post pics...money well spent!

You could also type the VIN and other codes and we'll try to help.

66 half cab with a 6cyl built in 1/66', Caribbean turquoise, bench seat, small bearing 9" rear with limited slip 4.11 gears. St. Louis sales area with a special order number, most likely for 16" wheels.

Great, thanks! Now we get to see pictures of your rig sometime. Doesn’t matter if it’s pristine and almost brand, new, or in pieces in the garage waiting to go back together. We love pics!
And we were just talking about factory option of 16 inch wheels last week.
Too bad you can’t get a Marti report on a 66.

Great! Thanks for the pictures. And just as much, thanks for becoming a contributor and helping to keep the site as good as it is.

I see yours didn’t get the radio box checked when the original order went through.
Not a lot of them still have a blank dash without a big hole hacked in it.
So even without a radio that’s kind of lucky.

Loud can be good sometimes.
What I did with my original airhorn setup, was put a toggle switch under the dash, allowing me to switch back-and-forth between standard and air horns.
It was in my first car, but I did the same thing to the bronco later. The toggle switch was simply to swap between the standard electric horn in one position and the auxiliary air horns in the other.
Most of the time I left it switched to the original horn, but when I really needed something to get attention, or have fun with, I switched it over to airhorns.

This one is wired the same. I have a switch near the 3 horns that I can flip on or off

Be nice if it was at least in the passenger compartment where you could reach it. That way you could choose which one at any time.
