Do I need to replace this brake line?

I was under the Bronco today and noticed that I have the tiniest little indent/scratches on the brake line. When I removed the transmission the crossmember rotated up a bit and I’m wondering if that dinged the line.

I don’t want to mess around with safety, but wondering if this is enough damage to warrant replacing the brake line?

I tried to capture it as best as I could:

Nah, unless you find an actual kink, or an actual leak, or one that that’s so rusty that it looks like it’s ready to burst through, I would not replace it.

Yours looks pretty decent in surface quality, but you can always verify that with a quick rub from a scotch bright pad.
If I’m seeing the picture correctly, that dimple/bend does not look restrictive at all.
Is that what you’re seeing?
What about brake performance in general?

By the way, though, is that line clamped down tight to the frame anywhere? Does look a little loose, like someone replaced it at some point. From the factory, they are well anchored and not rubbing on an edge of metal anywhere.
Make sure that where it crosses over the corner of the frame it is not actually touching.
That would be a red flag to me for sure.

Thanks, it does not look restrictive.

Can’t test the brakes until I get the driveline back together…

The brake lines were replaced about 3 years ago when I got the truck; it is clamped using the factory clamp just in front of this but could probably use something to the rear to keep it from moving around and make sure it’s not rubbing on any corners

Sounds good. Can’t wait to hear it all works when you’re up and running again!

I agree. I used to do brakes for a living, years back. I would never have recommended replacing that line to any of my customers.

Confirm the same as well. No where near an operational issue. And tucked up far enough it isn't even a cosmetic issue.
I will give you credit for checking and not just blowing it off or needlessly replacing it. If you are building the rest of the Bronco with this level of thoroughness I expect it to come out real good.
