Well, I guess I'm back.

I picked this up from a former member in the Richmond area. The body is roached pretty badly, but I knew that going into it. The previous owner put in a lot of great upgrades so it'll be a good one to clean up.

I know it's never going to be a restored unit under my ownership, and that was never my intention. That said, I bought a tub from a builder and I'll be collecting that after he replaces the quarters and floors.

I'll probably have more questions than build updates for now, but hearing that 302 fire up sure is nostalgic. I guess I'll need to update my avatar too.

Do I spy a funky home brew half cab in the bed of your truck?

Ugh, deleted the post by accident. Here are some pics of home brew half top for @BigB

Looking good. Are you adding any metal across the rear lip for stiffness?

I cut up my old top a few weeks back, but haven't been able to get back to it. I have a family cage so need to section around the rear bars so it will drop down. I plan to use the rear section but without the lift gate and will add a wind jammer type cover as I've seen used on here before.

TBH I'm not sure if I'm going to use it, and it would definitely need something to stiffen the trailing edge.
I've got one of Tom's Signature tops on the way and that will probably go on the Sport and I haven't decided if I'll put the Sport's (decent) factory top or this one on the crawler. TBD.
Post up yours when it's at a point you can share, I'll be curious to see what it looks like.

I have taken some photos as I chopped it up and also going through the process. Will keep doing that until she is done and will post a thread on it.

Those new Tom's tops look pretty nice.

Funky home-brew half cab?? LOL

I built that top!!

It worked well for me for a number of years and I sold to someone in Richmond. I used a windjammer on the role bar and soft doors for winter wheeling.

Dude that's awesome lol . I bought a Bronco from a guy in Richmond and when we were loading up he pointed to it and asked if I wanted it... I figured since he didn't have a Bronco anymore, he wouldn't need it.

Dang, it's a small world.

I have a way with words. I blame it on being an Aussie and my cultural roots.
