I’ve decided it’s time to seal up the holes in the firewall. I’ve not had much luck finding a boot for the brake push rod for an angled booster bracket. Anyone have any suggestions?

On the Wagon with that spacer bracket between the booster and the firewall it came to me with a piece of Green Stripe hose that sealed the back of the booster to firewall. I don't see that working with the angle bracket, but maybe it inspires something?

I have seen a delrin bushing made to slip over the push-rod and have a groove in the OD that a rubber "diaphragm" fit into. The edges of that rubber were then clamped to the firewall with a ring that had screws thru it. Much like that chrome piece around the base of a Hurst shifter boot. The bushing made sure the the push-rod slid easily thru the diaphragm, and the diaphragm stretched to compensate for any misalignment.

To that, how about a small shifter boot? Like this: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/cwa-j5752010 or this: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/huu-1147336 <- I used a clone of this one on the Valiant and it fit fairly tight on the T5's shifter shaft.

That’s kinda what I’m thinking, just smaller. Need to talk my neighbor, he might can print something out if TPU. The shift boot he printed for my atlas is awesome.

I thought I read somewhere that the clutch rod boot was the same. They look the same... I could be wrong though.

This

I thought that looked the same on the booster bracket. I never read it, so I can’t say it’s the correct thing to do. But it’s what I’m doing..

I think the first company to actively market that design to off-roaders was, oh crap, I forgot! The polyurethane company out of AZ. What’s their name? They built that crazy FC (forward control) Jeep for SEMA a few years back.
Makes me think of the color purple.
Comon’ I know you know.

Not Prothane or Energy Suspension, not Poly Performance.
Anyway, we also sell a version as our #3406
