Haggerty is posting up Bronco prices are falling...

14% down on market values in one quarter. Personally I'm all for it. Less coveted, less theft??, less insurance hassles & potential expenses across the board.

Mines a DD & fun rig, not some kind of investment parked in my garage. But I think I'm a rarity as it seems most like the idea of ridiculously high values no matter what the hassles are that come with these valuations.

Depends what the audience is probably. Seems like FB is all about Bronco valuations & flipping them. Maybe like most of the time I'm trying to think... I'm wrong again! LOL

Too many people have too much money tied up and are not willing to take a loss. So there will always be a glut of over priced ones on the market. Most don't "need" to sell, so no need to knock down the price. Sit on it until someone shows up and keep advertising high prices. Regardless of what the nominal transaction price is for the ones that actually sell.

Yes, and no, there's also some loaded people that don't mind taking a thirty or fifty thousand dollar loss to move it on.I've heard of several recent ones. Sold for way less than they paid for them. The buyers are simply onto the next cool thing.

Well parts prices aren't going to some down so I'd bet Bronco prices aren't really going to fall that much.

It's such a great platform to allow you to do anything you want underneath the body of such a cool looking vehicle.

Well. It isnt any cheaper to restore them properly despite the falling sales prices. Less margin for the flippers, which in turn, will direct their interests elsewhere. Fortunately I didnt build mine to sell. It will get disposed of with the rest of my estate, Bronco prices for the early ones seemed to really take off with the announcement of the 6G broncos. That aura has lost its shine.

Same here and you are right, cost to build is the same. i have collectors insurance but too many restrictions. I am going to look at agreed coverage so I can drive.

If I ever FINISH mine, it will be a daily driver…if I can afford the fuel.

I always tell the guys around here that I do flip #*!+>÷? to all the time & they understand that... lol... who all seem to drive new or semi-new trucks that Bronco's as a DD are cheap to drive & here's why.

New-er truck = $65-75K & in three yrs lose $20-25k in resale.

$20K buys about 4,600 + gallons of gas... :) Then figure in you're probably only getting 20-25mpg in your other rig around town so your EB gets 12-14mpg & do the math that saving 10-15 mpg on top of $4600 equals about 30 yrs of driving... lol

Just what I respond to them with the few locals left...

I sold mine a while back. First owned a '69 in '96. Bought my last in I believe 2010. Sold it some years later to what was later to be discovered a flipper. I knew it intimately and EVERYTHING it needed. Saw it flipped on BaT. After seeing that, I would never buy ANYTHING on BaT.

What do you do when you see a Bronco listed on BaT and the RD's wouldn't even bid high enough to make the seller happy? Now you know the market is dropping.

Two classes of rich folk, those who can pay 40K and dump another 40K to have someone else make it road worthy. Those who pay 300K aren't in this judgement, money is of no relevance to them. Those who pay 40K and then realize the Wrangler with lockers, AC and OD are much easier to push a button and enjoy on that Starbies trip and Insta photos over something that leaks all over, needs FI, OD, air and an OBDII port for pedal sensitivity LOL. Real Bronco guys just fix it because school of hard knocks knows how and had to to get to work. I have no problem helping some kids keep the hobby alive, but there are no kids starting out with a 40K rusted EB from lawnmowing monies that were saved.
