    Power steering pump getting hot

I’d say, it sounds like the pump is bypassing fluid. It’s putting out way more gpm’s than needed and the bypassing fluid is creating heat. I never had any luck with PSC. Mark

Gen 1 Bronco hard top hoist for garage?

I used to hoist my hard top up in the garage, but after a few times dealing with the taking it on and off every year, soon it just remained hoisted up in the garage. I bought a soft top for the few months that I needed a top, and sold the hard top. My Bronco is my daily driver and I have no...

    1998 Explorer Swap VSS question

EFIGUY uses the OSS (output speed sensor) on the trans instead of the VSS. You might want to shoot him an email to confirm. Mark

Time to buy another Explorer donor vehicle. Mark.

    Power steering cooler with fan

Just that fact that you’re adding capacity to the system will cool it plenty. The cooler itself is almost moot. Mark

    Strange master cylinder issue

I did. The master had an internal leak. I replaced it and everything is fine now. Except the cap leaks. I had to assist the bail with large hose clamp. Mark

    Strange master cylinder issue

The brake pedal has always been the same. Very firm, short travel, and returns. The brake lights have never been stuck on. Mark

    Strange master cylinder issue

I’m running a GM style master, disc/drum with hydro-boost. I’ve had this in place for the last 10 years and it has worked flawlessly. We’ll this week I’ve noticed brake fluid leaking from the cap. The reservoir for the rear brake was near empt, while the front reservoir is overflowing. I...

    Explorer swap

I used the stock 98 Explorer exhaust manifolds along with the factory plug wires and shields. I don’t know of any restrictions you’ll notice if your 5.0 if stock. The Explorer manifolds fit very nice on an EB. I’ve done 3 builds using the stock manifolds. Two with C4’s, 1 with the 4r70w. Mark

    C4 Shift Firmness?

I used the TransGo 40-2 kit. Instead of removing the 1-2 shift puck in the valve body, like the instructions say, I slightly enlarged the hole in it. That lessens the harsh 1-2 shift that most complain about. It’s still a firm shift, but not so hard on your U-joints. Mark

    Explorer intake interest

The intake itself is getting extremely rare. It should sell quick. There’s still a bunch of us that don’t care to run electric carbs. Mark

Narrowing down a 78/79 Big Bronco Hp Dana44

If cut down properly the axle fits the radius arms just fine, the wedges are the same, and the coil springs are in the same position. To use EB width axles shafts. The driver’s side housing needs to be shortened .625”, and the passenger side 5.998”. The other main issue would be adding a track...

35s or 37s? And which hydro boost? Wild horses or Jame Duff?

Yes, it is preferred to run the Ford disc and knuckles. But it can be done with the smaller drum knuckles. Duff sells the complete Ford disc/knuckle set up to convert over. I’ve had a few friends spend the money because they got tired of breaking stub shafts out on the trail. Mark

    Loose Pinion Nut

If you ever need to tear it down again, using a crush sleeve eliminator (solid spacer) makes replacing the pinion seal very simple. Crush sleeves can loose their shape when enough torque is applied. That’s the main benefit of the solid spacer. Mark
