Looking to get a set of 15x8" Aluminum Slot wheels with 4" Backspacing and mount then to 31x10.50s.

I also have a 3 1/2" WH lift.

Anybody have this combo so I can see how it looks and confirm clearance?

Thanks

I can't answer with what your looking for, but I would be careful going 8" wide with 4" BS. I'm running 7" wide with 4.5" BS with an 11" wide tire and I wish I had 5" of BS. It just barely clears. I don't plan on off-roading it much but I'm not sure how it'll do when flexed. I'll probably have my wheels machined/re welded for more BS.

I have seen 9" wheels under a luber but I believe they had 6" of BS

I have installed a 17x8 with 4.5 Backspacing and a 265x70x17 tire which fit great.

I want to install the 15x8 Slots on my 69 U14 Luber with 31s. I know they will be close with less backspacing, but i may just go with 15x7 if they are available as an option.

I think I remember seeing an Un-cut Blue Bronco with the 8" Slots and 31s on here somewhere. Any help with pictures would be great.

Not sure if it's the same one, but I posted up some pics awhile back of a friend's Blue uncut with that combo. The problem was, and is, that we don't know what the backspacing is on the wheels.
We'd have to measure them physically, as the boxes are long since gone and he's not of a mind to dig up the receipts with part numbers just yet. ;D
They do look to be at least 4" backspacing though. Maybe a touch more.

I suggested 7" wide wheels too, but he'd already bought the 8's.
I think they may be ProComp or similar. Either way they're reeeeeely close.

Not going to be Off-Roading so much and bouncing around. I really think I will be OK with the 8" Wheel with 4" Backspacing.

Hmmm, those wheels looks like MTs to me.

Thanks Paul

Yeah, I have 18"x7" and I thought they'd tuck right under with 4.5" BS. Factor in the extra 1" of flange on the wheels, a 285 tire and the stiff 18" sidewall, this combo didn't do me any favors. If you can get 7" wide wheels it's a no-brainer IMO.

I know you said Slots specifically, and 8's specifically, but just for comparison purposes I thought I'd throw a couple of pics of an uncut with 31x10.50's on 7's out there.

Yeah, they are pretty perfect for clearance and looks. Not sure about the backspace, but I think that brand only offers one for any given width. It's probably between the magic 3.5 to 4 inches, even on a 7" wide wheel.

I'll see if he knows, or if I can find the stats online.

That's funny. Although I always knew them as "American Eagle Wheels", I just figured they'd changed their name years ago for some reason when I started seeing all the catalogs calling them "Eagle Alloys" instead. Well, looks like the company is still working under the American Eagle label after all.

Guess the old books are the only way to find out though. Or else I'm not up on my web-searching skills yet, as I can't find that info on their site. Pretty skimpy details if you ask me.
But they do have nice pics of EB's! When you pull up the "Configurator" and put in EB the two pics that come up are super sharp looking rigs.

If I get a chance I'll just google it or go to tirerack.

All the 15x7's of the same style I managed to find had 4" backspacing. And naturally, the only wheel pattern I could not find in a 15x7 was the 5 on 5.5 that we use!

If it gets to the point you're looking, just call the company and verify.

My LUBER has a 3.5" lift and I'm running 15x7 slots with 4" BS and 31" BFGs. It's really close! Like a **runt** hair shy of rubbing the wheel well.;D

Mine

I have 3 1/2" suspension and 1" body. I put 255/85/16 on 16x8 rims with 4 1/2" back spacing. Tires equate to 33x10x16 ruffly. I can tuck the rear tires with stock wheel wells.
I still have the lip as well. I will try and find a picture of the flex

The first picture is 15x8 with 3.5" of backspacing and the 2nd is 15x8 with 3.75". I have a 2 1/2 lift with 2" body lift. I haven't flexed it enough to see if they rub.

I'd say they'll rub, but I've been wrong about that before. They just look "close" though.
But tell us more about your bumper! Is there a build-thread here about it already?

Paul - You are correct, pictures/info of any 15x8" wheel with 4" backspacing and 31s will help. (3 1/2" Lift)

I ask about the 15x8" wheel in particular because I have not found the Slot Wheels in a 15x7". The 15x7' usually have the 3.5-3.75 Backspacing so they would have similar clearance anyway.

Thanks for the info and pictures.

My wheels are 15x8, with 4.5" backspacing. With the 32x11.5-15 im running, and 2.5" lift, I had to bend up the fender lip to keep them from rubbing. Even with that, I cant even squeeze my pinky finger in between the tire and fender, when its stuffed...And thats considering it stuffed one at a time, and so the tire is angled up into it. If I hit a large drainage ditch straight on at say, 30mph+ ...they do contact a bit. So, I dont think 4" backspace would be enough.
Got pics in my gallery of it stuffed...
