Vin Id and some info needed

So I got this 1966 Bronco two days ago for free. He is in very bad shape.
The bodywork is very rusty, but some parts are salvageable and can be repaired
I see some things that are only from 1966 but I also see some strange things.

Everything looks as 66 stock as can be included the carb, an autolite 1100. It's a Sahara Beige 66 wagon built in 2/66' with a low compression 6cyl for export(most of those went to South America). Front bucket seats, large bearing 9" rear with 4.57LS gears. 91 is export DOS and the next four digits is the special order number.

Is there a proper/good way to clean that tag? Can it take Thinner or just soap and brush

Awesome I forgot about the masses that went to Iceland in 66 and 67. I can't remember if paint thinner takes the blue background paint off or not. Marti Autoworks can make you a new one if needed also.

Be careful if you try and start it. I don't see any clamps on the rubber fuel line going to the carb. Friend was buying an old chevy truck and it burnt up from the same thing. Once it was running the fuel line popped off.

It is amazingly original. Original spring clamps on the heater hoses and PCV hose no less. Those never last 60 years.
Master looks wrong from that angle. Looks like a single pot, so '66. But the tail lights have reverse lights, shouldn't be there on a '66
I'm not seeing an eyebrow grill, so a late '66?
I see an SVC valve on the carb for the FordOMatic ignition advance, which I thought was a '66 only item?

This one cane along about 4 months after the eyebrows ended. Metric speedometer too. No telling what that master cylinder came off of. Has its own bracket too. Looks like it's got lots of bolts and screws holding things together as things wore out. Driver door mirror, door handle inside on passenger side, column shifter. Prob just used what they could. Got some awesome padded door panels too.

That 160 KPH speedometer is a rare piece. The only other ones I have seen were the late '77 Canada ones. That is the only '66 I have ever seen a picture of.
The radio is aftermarket. There was a factory option for one, but that is not it. The 4 bands is also strange to me, but probably normal for you. From what I can read, L is much lower frequency than broadcast AM radio in the states. M looks like normal AM band. K looks to be in meters, I would need to hit up my HAM radio junkies to figure that one out. U looks to be normal FM band. That radio is specific to the Iceland market.
The notched wheel wells for a wide bench is a new one for me. Seen a lot of stuff, but never that one.

That's the correct 66' bumper. It was used into 67' also.

Cool Bronco! - the rear wheel cover is a 66 only & worth saving. The front looks like a later model? Also rear bumper looks like a 67-77? 66 was square on the end.

The four digits is the special order number. Is there any information on that. Or is that lost as the Marti Reports do not have it?

No Marti Reports for the 66's. 99% of the time especially during the early years the the special order was for special paint or 16" wheels or both. Since yours has a color code, it wasn't a special order color, so most likely it was for 16" wheels. Only 100% way to know is to have the window sticker, it would have been listed on there.

So one of those running changes, similar to the rear shock mounts.
Only early 66 models got the lay forward, stem mounts. Later models got the standard rear facing mounts.

Oh, and the backseat notches is an interesting thing. Another Iceland Bronco reported a similar modification a few years ago. Pretty sure it was reported here on classic, so there should be some record of it.

Backup lamps started in 67', none of the 66' models had them. 66' had forward facing rear shocks until the 289's appeared in March of 66'.

I thought I remembered it being another red bronco, or at least a red interior. The link you provided doesn’t have any pictures that I can see though. Just those first exterior pics. I can even see them discussing the seats and question. Just no pictures.
Nothing on the interior at least, unless I’m just not seeing it.
