What happened to the hood and tailgate? Was it contaminated with something before the paint went down?

No, we had a big run in the tail gate and the hood had some trash in it. Compressor is fixed, it will get resprayed Monday.

Probably so, I was there for 16 years!!! One of my claims to fame as a painter was 12 runs in 6 inches!!!

Oops. If you zoom in on tail gate at the bottom, you will see a similar example. We are still not sure what happened on that lol

Rule #6 reference rule 3. Paint and body work is the big ticket item if you hire it out. I could pay 10k for a paint job, but I find it hard to justify. 10k is just above driver quality these days. Do your homework. One of the most reported horror stories on this site is about guys getting taken by auto body Shops. My paint is driver quality and I am ok with that, I won’t be scared to drive it.

Tail gate and hood have been re-sprayed. Body goes on the frame tomorrow so I can start wiring and a/c install. Probably go ahead and start on interior. All parts will be stored safely until 2025.
