Not sure I've seen a Marti with that order type before. Good stuff.

Very cool - an early one! I have an acquaintance looking for an uncut manual Ranger. I've told him he's going to be looking forever!

I got lucky when I bought this in 2011. It's exactly what I wanted. I actually bought it on eBay based off of ~8 pictures and had it shipped across the country 😳 (NV to NY). It was a gamble that surely paid off.

Good luck to your friend, it's getting harder and harder to find them like this.

That’s a cool one. A semi-early Ranger.
But, because it was built after initial 73 production started, then stopped, they probably didn’t stop the new for 73 Ranger option just because of other hiccups.

Has this one been added to Viper’s “P’s and Q’s” thread?

This is weird, my truck was built almost a month before yours and was sold as a '73 ranger (see a few posts up). Does/did yours have the 6 port fuel selector with the return style fuel system?

Mine sat for ~5 months before it was released and sold, I wonder what the story behind this was.

That's the interesting part of the discussion about the whole "P's and Q's" thing. There are VIN's with the P ('72 model year) and VIN's with the Q ('73 model year) and some Q's started production during the normal time frame (August of '72) while they stopped production of '73's and renewed production of '72 model year Broncos all the way up until October if I remember.
Check out the P's and Q's thread. I'll try to find it and post a link, but have my new computer up and running, so don't have anything saved.
I used to use the search function to find threads started by Viperwolf1, but don't think the new format supports that.
Going to try it anyway... Be back in a bit...

I actually read every post in that thread from you mentioning it haha. Should I post my Marti there so viperwolf can add it? I tried PMing it to him a while ago

You don’t need to post the whole Marti. You did that here.
Just update with your VIN and the characteristics of your particular rig.
For example, did it have an auto transmission, a T shift or a J shift transfer case, came with the dash bar indicator lights, fuel return line, ambient switch in the door frame, stuff like that.

Here's one that's real stripped down with 3 options (limited slip as the 3rd)

Another strange thing is the release date, 1.5 months after it was built?

Cool, this one was sold in my home town. I purchased at least 3 vehicles from Megginis Ford.. The dealership changed hands several years ago. Now Anderson Ford. My house is in a subdivision built on the old Megginis family farm.
