I haven’t gone down that road yet but my plan is to use these components. Maybe a bit different than most because of the NP205 ebrake but the push pull cable should be able to adapt to others as well.

many of the high end builders use this kit. biggest challenge would be where/how you mount it to the frame/body. Everything else looks pretty straight forward. I'm sure a few members could snag a pic or two of their set up and make this an overall simple install.

What about the Wilwood Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) calipers, 140-15979-**. They have the same fitment requirements as the MC4 cable actuated parking brake calipers, but have integrated servo motors on the calipers for parking brake actuation. These kits include the calipers, pads, wiring harness, controller and switch and don't have the same packaging challenges that the E-Stopp linear actuator kits have.

They only need power to apply or disengage the brake, they do not use constant power. I've been looking at them for mine, I have no parking brake components on my Bronco & I have a manual trans. Everywhere I go I have to make sure I park somewhere flat or downhill into the stop not sure why the previous owner removed all parking brake components. I figure by the time I buy all the bits and pieces electric vs manual parking brakes wont have a huge cost difference.

I have stock rear drum brakes, but the PO removed all of the e brake equipment. I purchased the E-Stop kit along with the ford OEM cables for the rear brakes from WH4x4. This weekend I'm going to start looking at the install for both as I've got my rear diff torn apart for an axle & 3rd member swap.

They operate like modern fly-by-wire electronic parking brake kits found on numerous OEM applications, including most modern Ford cars and SUV's, so they only require power for actuation and/or release. The EPB kit is ~$1122, so how much will you be spending on the alternative? MC4 calipers $352/pair plus the E-Stopp actuator for another $571 plus custom cables for another $100 or so for a total over $1000? Cost wise, they don't seem that different to me.

What brakes are you running on the rear with respect to calipers and rotors? I only ask because the Wilwood MC4/EPB parking brake calipers will require an adapter bracket that is sized specifically to the rotor, and the calipers are available for various different rotor thicknesses from .25" up to 1.10". They also offer the EPB calipers for 1.25" thick rotors for aftermarket applications and specifically ones adapted to the C8 Corvette, however they do not offer the MC4 for anything thicker than a 1.10" rotor at this time. The MC4/EPB calipers have two different bracket designs, the one that is symmetric about the centerline of the caliper body with two evenly spaced (4.75" on center) 3/8-24 tapped holes, and the other which has two tapped holes off to one side of the caliper body.

It is a Ford 9 inch floater with a 5x5.5 kit from Schreiner enterprises. So a standard 1.1" thick rotor. I have Wilwood calipers but cant remember yet which ones. I fabbed my own brackets welded to the housing for the MC4 emergency brake calipers I have now 4.75" C-C. I could bolt the electric calipers to my brackets no problem.

Installed this in my 73 over a year ago and very happy with it! Works great for both ebrake function and security since I hid the on/off button controller. I decided to fabricate my own cable bracket just so I had an excuse to use the Mig welder. Installed inside passenger side of frame. It has worked flawlessly since install… exposed to mud, snow, rain… etc.
