Have a 351w in my bronco. Installed a melling high volume oil pump. Need an oil pan. What are my options on a pan for it?

ifirst make sure the pan is matched to pump, and it fits an EB. I used Morrosso. Pricey but works.

I had the fox body conversion pan on my 351w. Had to modify it to fit the high volume pump. I’m changing to another stock style pan that has clearance for exhaust crossover at the rear and expect I will have to modify the new pan as well to clear the oil pump.

Or don’t run a high volume pump,, they hang down a little lower

1988-'96 F-series have a rear sump pan for the 351W. It doesn't clear the differential completely, so some pan modification or extended bump stops are needed. Need to dimple to clear the high volume pump. Also lacks dipstick mount as it was used with the thru-block dipstick.

I don't know about the high volume pump but for a stock pump I run a 96 e350 van pan. No issues with 2 1/2 SL and street use.

Thanks for the suggestions yall, got a fox body conversion pan and beat it out around the pump and is on the truck now. Seems to fit up good. Will see how it acts. Wanted a high volume pump, the 351 is pretty hot and revs high. Was hoping it would help to have the high volume with the extra rpms it will be turning.

I'm pretty sure this double sump unit is what's on mine...don't hate it, don't love it...it does it's job. I'm not a huge fan of the blind sump in the front, as it just seems like a good place for oil to stagnate, plus requires two drains to do a full oil change. Just recently when I was fabbing up a new track bar for my full-width swap, the front drain plug was yet another thing to work around that would have been nice if it wasn't there, or if it's going to be, you may as well get the extra capacity offered by a pan like the Canton 16-674 7-qt option that doesn't have the front drain, making oil changes that much easier so long as you don't need the clearance for something like in a Fox Body.
