I am with Steve on this subject. I like low trailers. Center of gravity is lower + better stability. The ramps and loading and stepping up are all easier with a lower trailer. With enclosed trailers the lower the better because you have to deal with how much wind the trailer catches. safety...

In reply. We are talking about ford dana's in an EB. all are 30 spline not counting the outers. The 4K =. locker, gear, axles, knuckles, outers, hubs , it's possible. I guess I should of added: if your worried about strength of the 44 just bad up a 60

No difference is strength from a series 3 or 4 carrier. Dana's all have the same spline axles. But I have seen different axle dia. Not at the seal or bearing, those are the same bit many times the dia of the shaft is different from one shaft to the other. Dont know the better years. Housings...
