AX-15 Conversion - Clutch Sanity Checking

I just did one of these and I am 99% it will only clock one way. I was having to guess on mine and got it wrong the first time. I was able to get the adapter on the transfer case but the bolts wouldn't line up on the transmission. I had to take the adapter back off and re-clock it before it...

    Must haves for restoration

Not sure what you're budget is but I think you should consider the James Duff suspension. I have their 2.5" performance package and it is super nice.

A red letter day for for my restoration!

Congrats! I am assuming you are like the rest of us and have a job and a life to live and it is hard to make time for these projects. Keep up the good work.

Motor poping and loss of power at highway speeds

I would go the slingblade method and think of the simplest things first, how old is the fuel in it? Take off the line at the carb and run it into a mason jar and make sure you are getting good flow and it isn't yellow. I once spent quite a while chasing a problem before that ended up being bad fuel.

    Changing Over to Electric Fans

Have you considered installing an air dam? I am not the expert but I've heard it makes surprising difference by forcing more air through the radiator instead of allowing it to go around...

Folded tub- improper lift without bracing- Advice

Statler, where are you located at? I had the same issue with my tub and I brought it to Badass Broncos in central Texas and he had a jig they had custom made, set it down in the tub and took almost no time at all to straighten it out.

    New tub territory?

Looks salvageable to me but I cannot recommend enough to have it blasted, or at least do some test areas to see what can survive blasting. you may end up with more pin holes and spots that need repair than you think. I salvaged my B pillars which were similar to yours and by the time I was done...

66 U13 Restomod - Build Thread - Looking for YOUR input

Big update on my project. After nearly 2 years of sheet metal work, I am finally in a better spot. I must have welded 15 patches, 100 plug welds and drilled out more spot welds than I could count. I have been through spools of MIG wire and piles of flap discs. My garage is constantly covered in...

    Sniper Fuel Injection Aggravation

This interference is a common issue and I know blueprint fixed their issues with a metal plate that bolts to the two front mounting bolts for carb/EFI. Here is a link to one on ebay you could install, pretty simple fix...

Advice on lining body panels up

Also, can someone confirm if the very top of the bedrails are supposed to be individually level (left and right) or does the top of them slightly slope outward to allow for water drainage?

Advice on lining body panels up

Thanks for the advice everyone. I am more of a work with what I have in front of me type of person and as long as it looks good then I am happy. I just also don't want to overlook measurements and specs as they serve a good purpose too and I am trying to slow down more these days and take more...

Advice on lining body panels up

Just so I am clear, you are saying start with the hood and fenders then work my way back. Does this mean to worry about the hard top at the end? Either shim it or do some fab work to make it work? Also, I notice some broncos appear to have body filler in the gap between the rocker panel and the...

Advice on lining body panels up

This is helpful so thank you. I have a few questions: - What do you mean when you say "I hope you haven't welded your floor to the bed floor yet". Which floor are you talking about? I replaced the upper floor pans / kick panels but haven't messed with the bed floor. I have not welded the...

    Serpentine belt setup for 302

BC Broncos out of Kerrville, TX is selling entire refurbished explorer front drive kits for like $1,400. I know it isn't cheap but its much cheaper than the vintage air front drive. Gotta consider the amount of time it takes to source everything independently, go to a junk yard, blast and paint...

Advice on lining body panels up

My Bronco body is currently on a cart and at a stage in the build where I have performed quite a bit of rust repair in various places around the tub including floor pan replacement, fender wells, pillar repair etc. I have brand new, one piece seamless quarters, rockers, doors, fenders etc which...
