    Barn find 73 Sport

A few of these in similar condition have been sitting on marketplace in my area for 15k.

    Hard First Start

As far as I know, yes you can do that. You would need to bypass the mechanical pump. A lot of fuel pumps for carbs are low pressure, like 7 psi, and can usually be purchased over the counter. You could mount it somewhere on the frame rail where it is in a safe spot.

Was the Eyebrow grill bound to year or Vin numbers?

I have a November U13 and it does not have an eyebrow grill. I was told October was the last month.

Just curious thought I would ask and see

Hmmm, I am an experienced off roader but not a lot of experience in my EB. I am going to say 50% driver, 30% Rig, and 20% Spotter. People can say what they want but I believe a good driver in a mediocre rig can out wheel the nicest rigs with the best spotters if the drive isn't up to par.

66 U13 Restomod - Build Thread - Looking for YOUR input

Alright well, based on some reviews I received above, I decided to do the sheet metal work myself. I rolled the chassis outside under a cover, built a wooden body cart using some plans Jason and Joanie Builds put online, bought a Lincoln 140 mig and spent a few weeks learning to weld and...

What am I about to get myself into?

Wow, it seams like all of us agree…. Coming from a man whose bronco is still in pieces, I wish I had left it frame on, slapped a v8 with power steering in it and been driving it all of this time…

    Children in the Bronco

In all fairness, you put an ls in a bronco so I’m not sure we can trust your judgement… 😅 In all seriousness, well said

I second these questions along with brakes and exhaust leaks. If all checks out I would take my small kids in it.

    Eyebrow grill questions

Agreed on finding someone who “needs” it for their 66 build. FYI, I have a ‘66 that did not come with an eyebrow grill because mine was a produced in November and apparently they stopped doing the eyebrow in October.

Can I align my body panels while on the frame without the drivetrain?

May be a dumb question, but I am welding in new quarters and rockers and want to make sure I align everything as correctly as possible. If I take my body off of the cart it is on and put it onto the rolling chassis without the drivetrain, will I be able to properly line up the panels or do I...

What is this near my driver kick panel?

Thanks for the insight. Sounds like I will leave it, I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t going to be a problem for anything later. My floor pans honestly weren’t too bad but just bad enough.

What is this near my driver kick panel?

Thanks! Do you know what happens if I remove it? Is my firewall setup different than later years to where it would allow water in?

What is this near my driver kick panel?

I am in the middle of replacing the floorpans/kick panels on my 66 and there is some sort of drip rail that is spot welded to the factory kick panel where it meets the firewall. It is only on the driver side and not the passenger. What is this item and am I going to need it for my restomod? I...

No Such Thing As A Dumb Question

I called and asked duff where to put the shock mounts and they told me 12” in front of the axle. Based on the link you provided, it looks like yours is 12 3/4”, which explains the difference. Long live CCR!

No Such Thing As A Dumb Question

Interesting. Mine land more in front of the shock mount and my axle is centered on the leaf springs. The circus looks like fun, a texas country music reference?

No Such Thing As A Dumb Question

I ran into the same situation on my '66. I will say the factory '66 mounts are stud mounts while they transitioned to eye mounts when they went to the rear. Seems that the eye mounts allow for better movement at least but not sure why they moved them. I removed my stud mounts and replaced them...

66 U13 Restomod - Build Thread - Looking for YOUR input

Thanks for the input. I currently have no windshield wipers or mechanism or anything as have childhood memories of hanging out the window and using a squeegee to clean the windshield while dad drove. I do still have the stock windshield frame which is useable. Would this retrofit kit work or do...
