    Overheating question!

Driving my 70 Bronco with a 289 engine home last night I noticed my guage was reading much higher than normal. I tipped 230 degrees when I pulled her in the garage and steam was coming out of the overflow. After a little more research I noticed that it was very low on coolant but had no...

Timing Chain Cover stripped threads - Help!

The bolt that I'm talking about is the lower bolt hole to the right of the lower water pump outlet. It is a shorter bolt and does not go into the block. You can't put a nut on the back of it though. Looks like I will be removing and replacing it.

Timing Chain Cover stripped threads - Help!

Well luck has not been on my side lately and once again today I ran into a downfall. I had to remove the water pump on my 1970 Bronco with a 289 to replace it and noticed that the water pump bolts appeared smooth or stripped on the threads when I removed the bolts. However they were very tight...

    body side molding

Yes, the back of the molding is hollow. I tried to use double sided tape on mine and couldn't get it to work so I too am curious how backwoodsbronco installed his with it. I guess if you could find some really thick stuff it might make it a lot easier.

Misc. Bronco parts - Springs, power brake booster, etc.

I have just about finished up with my restoration and have a few left over parts that I do not need. Several of these items came in boxes with the Bronco when I purchased it. Make offers on this stuff. I do take Paypal. Power Brake Booster - I do not know the history of it as it was never on...

I have a 1970 Bronco Sport that came with the chrome body molding. When I acquired the Bronco the previous owner had started the restoration but never finished. I have almost completed the restoration but am puzzled as to how the chrome molding attaches to the body. I have ordered the plastic...

What size is the carb and is it electric or manual choke? Is it in good working condition or does it need a rebuild? How much do you want for just the carb?

whats my child hood dream bronco worth?

I have got to agree with the others. I would spend $1000 tops. You are going to have a lot of money into that Bronco repairing it. If you keep looking you will most likely find a better canidate for less money. I bought my 1970 Bronco just last fall with no rust. All the sheet metal had been...

    Donor seats from?

I will be installing 2005 Mustang GT seats in mine. I pulled them out of my own car because I put custom seats in it so I figured I would make some use out of them and put them in the Bronco.

    Speaker setup?

I don't have pics. for mine yet as I am currently still working on it but I built a custom box for the front speakers that fits under the dash and sits on the hump right ahead of the 4x4 shifter. The speakers sit right on the side or by the driver and passenger footwells. As for the rear I am...

    Need some timing chain help

Thanks again for the replies. I plan on getting down to the garage before the end of the week to sort this out. Luckily the temp is supossed to rise as it has been quite cold here lately. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I may hear this engine run for the first time. :)

interior trim, diamond plate or brushed stainless?

I personally am a fan of the diamond plate as long as it isn't overdone as some have mentioned above. I think it gives these rigs a rugged/tough appeal.

Body work...Where to start??????? PICS ADDED

Well if you decide to repair your current tub that is one way you will learn to do body work. I learned on a very rusty 1966 Mustang. Now that I look back I don't feel that was probley the best project to learn on, as the rust was very severe and would have taken a skilled body man a lot of...
