Dana 60 axle question.....

I new someone who put a 60 in a full size Bronco and swapped the knuckles out from a 3/4 ton with a d44 front to make both 8 lugs. Wouldn't that work on a EB?

Brian

Grant GT steering wheel for my '74.

I have a Grant GT in my 75. If they are like most, the wheels are standard, you get an adapter to fit your vehicle.

Brian

    biggest tire on stock rack?

I was thinking of doing the same thing, olny using a curved plate to support the tire. Hopefully, it would add some left, right stability. Don't have a clue if it would really work.

Brian

    Rear Disc Conversion

Chuck at BC Broncos supplies the studs with his kits that use jeep rotor and mount on the inside. He could probably give you a quick answer.

Brian

    Chevy spindle dimensions

Lars, I was looking at drawing at Sierra Bronco. Looks like the 1/4" difference is all in the base next to the flange. Couldn't you use a measurement from the stock spindle to get those lengths?

Brian

    Dead Rabbits???

Did they ever make a postal bronco, right hand drive?
I've seen some strange vehicles set up for that, think about a 3 on the tree with the linkage on the left side of the tranny, nightmare.

And if TexasBronco has more than one girlfriend pregnant, he needs to spend more time on that...

    Stock rear seat height?

My stock seat measures 10 1/2" for the dimension you asked for (nifty drawing there). My Beard replacement measures 12", but it is a lot more compressable. I'm sure you can play with that number, but there's a ball park figure.

Brian

    Do dual shocks matter?

If memory serves me correctly (it never does :)) most shocks have more resistance in rebound than in compression. Wouldn't this help keep the rear from rising under hard braking? Interested in your thoughts.

Brian

    Cherokee wiper conversion (New Twist)

I didn't want to drill into my windshield frame until I was sure I wanted to keep it that way. Anyway the stock washer seems to have plenty of pressure for them to work. I'd be interested to hear how your hose routing goes, I'll probably keep mine this way since I'm considering a glass...

    Cherokee wiper conversion (New Twist)

I hooked up the on arm washers on the cherokee conversion and it works fine. I didn't have any stock nozzles. I've been able to clean plugged nozzles simply by spraying them out with WD40.

If you decide to use the on arm, NAPA has the correct size hose. I simply siliconed it to the...

Best way to clean engine bay

jeepster's right about the hot water. In college (not yet edumacated) I hooked a hose directly to my water heater. With a good nozzle it kicked butt on some nasty greasy mess. Went fine until I shut the nozzle off and the hose ruptured, OUCH!! Be careful and protect those eyes. :o

Brian

    rear speakers

I just put mine in boxes. I'm trying to figure a way I can secure them somewhere and still have them easily removeable. Nice to be able to set them on the tail gate for tunes when you're camping.

    chevy disc conversion

My inner bearings fit really tight. I could jiggle them on by themselves, but not with the rotor. Took me about 2 hours to get the first on.

On the second one, I got smart and lubed the bearings, put them in and carefully tightened the lock nut, pulled it right on with very little...

    Disc brake pad clip

Never let my pads go that far either, guess that's why I didn't know what it was for. My guess would be put it on the 'trailing edge', so the rotor pulls the clip away from the pad. At least I know what it is now.

Thanks again,
Brian
