    Front body mounts

Thanks. I notched the bracket to expose the bolt hole. This will give me 4 bolts in the frame on each side.

    Front body mounts

I’m building a front winch bumper and found a difference in the body mount brackets. Right side is at a 90 degree angle to the frame and is riveted on. Left side is welded on and leans to the rear. Looks further forward. Maybe due to the steering box? I have a ‘71 Bronco Thanks Bob

    Replacement Hood Shocks

Does anyone have the part number or size of the gas strut used in the kits that hold up the hood?

    Automatic shifters

I regret the day I installed a B&M Mega Shifter when I swapped in my 700R4. As said earlier, ratchet shifters are useless off road. I would like to put in a column shift but can't afford it right now.

    Wheel identification

These are what the Mini Lites look like. There are a lot of companies making clones for less money. I run a set of Panasports on my 65 Triumph. They are very well made. These would look interesting on a Bronco.

    Dana 30 Rebuild

I'm doing major work to my 71. Got tired of have that grinding sound coming from the rear end so I decided it was time to do a rebuild. A few years ago we installed a 700R4 with a 302 roller motor. Since I'm getting into the power track I decided to switch to 4.56 gears and put on a set of 33...

Pics of 1" body lift *only* please

I have original suspension with a 1" body lift. I'm sure there is some spring sag. I run 8" wide spokes the same as what you have with 31x10.5-15. No issues at all. In fact this tire/wheel combo was on it before the BL. Rear is cut but not the front.

    Which muffler do you have?

I have the Flowmaster dual 2 1/4 in with a 3 out. The 3 inch tailpipe goes over the axle and exits behind the rear passenger tire. Not real loud and sounds good when you get on it. I have issues with the long tube headers next to the 700R4 tranny on the passenger side. The collector pointed...

    RIP James Garner

Saw James Garner when he was making the movie "Sunset" with Bruce Willis in the late 80's in Santa Paula, Ca. A Duisenberg pulled up with Bruce Willis driving and James Garner in the passenger seat. Lots of people there behind a rope wanting to see the actors. Bruce Willis bolted for his trailer...

    Bronco Trends over the Years

I remember back in '64 when my dad traded his 56 high hood willys for a brand new 1964 CJ5. Then in 1971 he started looking for a bronco. My brother told me that he and my dad went to Stroppe and looked at buying a Stroppe bronco but didn't. He ended up buying a "used" 1971 in April of 1972. My...

    Bronco Hams check in

KB6LJM I'm running a Kenwood TM221A 2M mounted on top of a CB radio. This is on a removable stock coming up off the floor next to the twin sticks. I use a mag mount on the roof for the 2M and have a coil mount adapted to the rear tire rack body mount for the CB. Bob

dual or single exhaust -- oppinions, pro's con's?

I went 2:1 with a Flowmaster 50. Sounds good and I found a great spot to hang an air tank where the second muffler used to be.

    Theft Deterrent for EB's?

I used to have an ignition kill switch in my Mustang that grounded the ignition. It would crank and crank but never start. Then I heard about the guy who did it and they found the switch. After that I put a fuse in the line. One try and the fuse blows. Even if they find the switch, it won't run...

2 into 1 Exhaust Muffler choices -Done, now I have serious DRONE!

I have long tube headers with 2 1/4 pipes to a Flowmaster 50. 3 inch tailpipe exits behind the pass rear tire. Nice and quite on the road but still has a good sound. I was running Flowmaster duals before. Now I have a 2 1/2 gal air tank mounted where the other muffler used to be for my OBA.

    Exhaust? Duel or single

I've run duals for years and when I put a new 302 and 700R4 in it I decided on a single. The long tube headers needed a lot of work with the trans but the single works great. 2 1/4 pipes into a FM 40 with 3 inch pipe exiting behind pass tire. Sounds good too. Doing this keeps the exhaust away...

    Broncos and Trailers !!

You would have to ask for trailer pictures. Here you go. Built a large teardrop from scratch back in 2004. Can't post a picture but here's a link. http://www.flickr.com/photos/tr4a4fun/3401507495/

    First time in a bikini

I took the top off last year for the first time and ran with a bikini top. Come winter the hard top goes back on. Got the windjammer from WH at the same time. It needs some work to keep it from smashing up against the seats when driving. Maybe some tie downs on the bottom hooking it to the...
