That rating should be with 1 layer of cable on the winch spool. See what the rating on the winch is when all of the cable is still on the spool? I think if you are going to use the frame as the ground...use the biggest gauge and the shortest length of wire you can use...would work the best. As...

Its got the space for a winch. I will build a cradle once I get the winch. Most likely, I will paint it black. I think there is enough lines on it, that it doesn't need to bring anymore attention to it, but I am always open to suggestions. I live in Razorback country, AKA, AR.

Thanks for all of the compliments. I forgot to mention the best part... I finally got rid of my bros stock TJ bumper.:-X Most of the metal is 1/8"x6" plate. I used 1/4 angle to mount to the frame and protrudes for the tow points. I built it on the fly, so I didn't take any build-up pictures...

I made some good progress to finally having my bumpers done. Here is some shots of the front. Whenever my winch comes in, I will cap-off the top with plate that outlines the winch.

That brings a whole new definition to the words "Looks Sharp". It only took 4 years! Worth every second of the wait. That is one sharp looking Bronco.
