My best guess it that the auto paint have a lot more rare materials in them, then industrial paints. If you look at the auto paints they have more color depth and color array. The best way I would compare them is auto paint is more "hand carved" and the industrial paint is more "assembly lined"...

I think the hardener is a catalyst that makes the paint dry faster, harder, and can give more shine or "clear".

I painted my baja with Rustoleum Industrial enamel. I rolled it on straight from the can with a foam roller. The key to doing so it looked right was to roll it on just like you would spray it on... over lap 50%, keep the roller loaded and keep moving in one direction per panel. You cant go back...

The stockers are the way to go IMO. I like the dog dish better as a hub cap, but not with the lockout. With the lockouts they look like something is missing or broke.

If you can imagine your tires hitting an obstacle which will "load" up the springs without a wrap bar. When your tires lose traction its going to "unload" the springs in an uncontrollable force that cause any problems from unwanted tires spin to drive-train breakage.

I personally would use the money elsewhere, but if someone gave me one then I would use it. I think it looks a lot cleaner without the pad, but it feels more user friendly with the pad.
