    Buck Tag on my 66?

Yes, looks like an engine tag to me, usually found on the coil bolt.

    Stroppe?

Depends on how you look at “isn’t all that special” I guess... A four color paint job from the factory... Sure. Their power steering and automatic conversions are nearly impossible to find. Yes, Ford came out with them in 73 (most likely with help from BSA), but they are not even the same...

All of the Marti reports I have seen show 214. I am sure a pretty small portion of them were Ranger models.

    Original Paint??

I like shiny paint over patina, but prefer original paint any day of the week...! It looks like it could be original paint but hard to tell in pics. The grille looks pretty white... Maybe the white was repainted? The FORD on the tailgate should be painted white as well. So maybe new orange there?

    Hard top bins

Aftermarket. I have seen a few and they are usually cracked or broken. But cool! There was another similar one that mounted under the bed rail.

    1968 Rummage sale find

It should have came with a Dana 30 front and a Ford 9” rear. Welcome to CB Nick, congrats, can’t wait to see some pics! Include the tag in the glovebox door and we can tell you more...!

    RED painted Body Side Mouldings?

He was considering the “Rosette Trim” listed as the option, but we all know better that that was the pattern for the parchment upholstery inserts, and the “Body Side Moulding” is the designation for that trim... Let’s not focus on it originally being Mallard Green either... ;)
