power steering box return port, brass tube seat insert

How hard is it to put that brass fitting back in? Can they be pressed in using a standard end of a flare tube and fitting, or do you need a special tool? Had a box redone by one of the re-builders and that brass insert is missing.

EEC IV V-Pwr vs battery voltage

How close should it be? I get a .2 volt drop between battery and V-pwr on break out box. Using RJM harness, about 5 years old and 5K miles, tops. Having a warm engine start issue, after about 30 minutes (cold and immediate start when hot, OK), seems like spark (get spark on plug tester, but it...

NJ 15 X 6 White Modular Wheels (four)

Set of 4, 15x6, 5 on 5.5, modular wheels. Black stuff in crevice around edge of wheel center is RTV. I always put that in when I get new steel wheels, keeps the rust from starting in that spot. Easy enough to remove if desired. They are US Wheel, PN 90-5655. If you want to figure...

Giving up on rubber vacuum caps??

Lucky I get a year out of them these days, no matter where it seems I buy them. And that is on vehicles that have little usage over a years timeframe. Thinking of trying some nylon caps, hard to find in all black (most sets are multi color, based on size), and may be just as bad or worse...

    Aluminum sag bracket without AC?

Did they make a PS only bracket in alum for vans with No AC? My 1/2 ton box is pushed back as far as possible, as I have pitman facing forward. Not the best pic, bit you can see how close pump is to box, even being up this high. Getting an 89 5.0 HO from my dads ride (he is getting 331)...

    TW heads-rocker geometry

Anyone who has run TW heads. Have you gotten a roller pattern (assuming adj roller rockers) with the correct geometry (minimum sweep) and centered on the intake valves? (exh seemed to be pretty good). Closest I could get was .037 off center with an .045 pattern width......... I did try a...

    2.3 ecoboost

When do these things start to look like a viable classic bronco motor swap? I want to not like these motors on the old standby there is no substitute for cubic inches mantra, but the woman's 2.0 escape has some real decent low end. 410 RWTQ @ 2400 RPM for the 2.3. Falls on it's face above...

    Explorer/HO combo on speed density

Have explorer motor, which I was going to run carbed (with intake being used on another vehicle). But I also now have 87 HO intake/inj, cam, distr, full harness, and speed density EEC. Aside from P heads, it will bascially be an HO motor. Anyone run that combo on speed density?

New Jersey bill would expand use of historic vehicles

Technically only legal to drive antique registered vehicles for exhibition or educational use only (read car shows or parades). This bill would allow personal usage one day per week. http://www.oldcarsweekly.com/blogs/under-the-hood/new-jersey-bill-expand-use-historic-vehicles

    American made bearings

Ordered FMS 8.8 rebuild and axle bearings kits recently for my Capri. All came with USA made (stamped USA anyway) Koyo bearings. Seems Koyo may have inherited some of the plants that Timkin bearings used to be made at. Not sure who sells these and what other bearings for an EB might be...

    Pinched Ring

Starting my own thread on this. Referencing the end of this thread. http://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2428741#post2428741 Would a pinched ring still show decent compression and/or could it show up out of the blue? My 70 has this exact problem. HUGE clouds of oil smoke if PVC...

    Alignment- Measuring Caster

Since I got the 70 roadworthy, it just hasn't been much fun to drive. It is all over the road. Since the entire front end and steering are new, track bar and drag link angles are parallel, I was hoping there was no caster in the front axle. Anyway, I've had this camber/caster guage since about...
