SOLD Serpentine Belt Drive Ford Explorer 5.0 L

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Glad you are happy with the product! Unfortunately, for future orders, I am going to have to raise the price to $325 + shipping. :( I have kept it the same since I started offering the kits a number of years ago. Cost from the yards has gone up over time and I...

    Rear Disk Brakes or not?

Hydroboost is awesome! Got my rear discs from a 98 Explorer I parted out. Made more selling parts than I paid for it so rear disc was free... Happy with it but not totally necessary...

    Explorer Swap Throttle Body

I'm running the stock Explorer piece on my warmed over 351W and have no complaints. I've got a hood bubble so clearance wasn't a factor in the clocking position... What displacement are you running Griz?

    Explorer Serp. on a 351W

All in all, a straight forward swap. Actually a bit easier on 251 as you don't have to worry about clearance for the lower idler pulley...So many advantages, you won't regret it

    Well DANG!!!

I'd be real hesitant to try repairing that part. Fuel leaks can get ugly fast. not worth the risk...

    Serpentine Pulley Kit

I think you could use the a.c. delete pulley (about 95% sure) and not need the p.s. pump. Just have to get the right length belt... I have serp set ups and delete pulleys if interested... ;)

    Explorer timing cover bolt kit

Studs are for wiring harnesses to be secured to (push on style). Can see locations in pic in tech library link. I have excess bolts of every size except for the 3 1/4" which always seem to break...

    Change in direction... Motor questions

That is a good choice, going with 351W & Explorer E.D.I.S. The Lightning lower is the hard piece and everything else should fall into place. Got it on my truck and it ROCKS! EFI Guy can be a big help with the wiring and 'puter... Good luck!

Serp Conversion Harm. Bal. Help. "I'm not a smart man...."

If your engine is a 351W or an older 302 then the harmonic should be rebalanced from 50 to 28 oz-in. if its a newer 5.0 then it should match the 50 oz-in imbalance of the harmonic. Either way, I believe the timing marks on the balancer can be used with the Explorer pointer at 11 o'clock...

A bunch of happy customers. Thanks for the feedback guys! Bronconut73, seems like you really like it... :) I know when I 1st did mine, getting rid of the annoying belt squeal was totally worth it. All the other advantages were just gravy on top...

How much hp can OBD 2 Explorer handle stock?

I can't give you a number but staying with stock injectors would probably be the limiting factor. I have 351w with edelbrock Al heads and itscreams. Tune provided by EFI Guy. 34 lb injectors though...
