What have you done to your Bronco today?

Thanks! Both for the pictures, and for that final description, which I find very interesting. It’s great to know.

Dana 30 or Dana 44 for Disc Brakes

Lots of things can cause it. A few more can allow it to be more noticeable. A lot of things to check. Have you tested how bad they are? If they’re only a little bad, why not just adjust your toe in? You can still adjust it even if it doesn’t stay perfectly consistent. They were already too low...

    76 Body on Restoration 2

I hate it when that happens! I can’t view the images, though, because I don’t have a Google sign in handy. Are you attaching pictures of the bronco itself? Or other information? You might be able to upload them to your “garage “ and ”gallery” functions.

    Rampage Top Rear Window replacement.

I would check with a local upholstery shop first. I doubt you’re gonna find an individual piece from rampage. Although, calling them can’t hurt either. I’ve heard of them having seconds or damaged kits that they sell to customers for cheap. Not often, so no guarantee. But it’s worth a quick...

Yeah, figured you were pretty low on the list! Jerry Ornellas had member number 75, or something like that. I think mine was in the 700s. I’ll have to go find my card.

    Windshield frame hinge attachment

Back to the top. Hopefully someone here who has done it multiple times will chime in. Probably just a few even here though. That, or else all you’re gonna get is personal experiences of doing it once. Which will be most. Therefore that’s either their favorite, or their not gonna recommend...

    More Caster/Alignment/drivability ideas?

Thanks. Just goes to show how little caster these things had from the factory. Either that, or the negative change when lifting is a lot more severe than originally calculated. Without compensating bushings, and assuming that the arms don’t have any compensation, your 2 1/2 inches of lift...

What have you done to your Bronco today?

Hah! Now, don’t go spending needleless money on something just because you’re working on a bronco! But since you were using a flashlight, and really, I’m more interested in how the fill tube and fill vent tube extend, or don’t extend into the tank, you could shine the light down the big fill...

    More Caster/Alignment/drivability ideas?

Seems reasonable. Do the T-Rex arms add 4°? If so, essentially you added 11° of caster to whatever it would’ve been naturally. Something like -6! So what year is your rig again? And how much lift?

    More Caster/Alignment/drivability ideas?

That’s not just your typical basic dartiness. What you are describing is actually bump steer! OK, so that is darty. But now you have the cause. I’m one of those that, while I know that up to a point more caster is better, I can drive my 71 at 80 miles an hour as well, and I only have 2° of...

What have you done to your Bronco today?

Thanks! Interesting stuff going on in there. How do you get a picture of the outlet tube and float, when the outlet tube and float and sending unit are removed? It doesn’t look like it was taken through the fill port, so I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. Maybe a picture right down into...

    Sorry, yet another Duraspark thread

What is the discrepancy in pin orientation that you’re referring to? The Painless harness should attach directly to the distributor without trouble. Because every Dura Spark distributor used exactly the same connector during its entire production run, any replacement harness that is supposed to...

    Sorry, yet another Duraspark thread

That might stem from the discrepancies I have found in the actual manuals over the years. In some they show one wire color as the ON 12 V signal and the other is the START signal wire. In others diagrams they show them reversed. I can’t say that’s the same for FORD corporate manuals, but...

What have you done to your Bronco today?

Since you have your tank out, conveniently (😉😁), would you be able to take a picture of the inside? Maybe pop the sending unit out and take a picture of how the main filled tube and the fill vent are oriented. Curious how the factory did it for the’77 model. Not sure if you can see much from...

    More Caster/Alignment/drivability ideas?

Perhaps why the Ford 2wd pickups back in the day had their tie-rod assemblies behind the A-arms? Necessitating that wildly short steering shaft and a gearbox just in front of the firewall! Makes messing with the steering stuff a lot of fun. Paul

    Sorry, yet another Duraspark thread

I seem to remember that as well. It would be a good addition. I wonder if finding a quality TFI module would be any harder than a quality GM HEI module though?

    More Caster/Alignment/drivability ideas?

So we’ve already been discussing this? I seem to remember going through all this before. Or at least some of it. Why not continue in an existing thread? Although, now that this one’s up to two pages, I guess the point is moot now. As mentioned already, your angles are too steep. Or at least...
