• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

I have a great running 170 cubic inch original 1966 Bronco motor and 3 speed transmission for sale. I am doing a frame off on my Bronco and going with a 302 and C4 auto, so i don't need these. Motor ran great a year ago and did not smoke. Transmission shifted great and clutch and flywheel were great as well. Also included are bellhousing, shifting linkage for 3 on the tree, exhaust manifold, carb spacer, belts, hoses, alternator, distributor, wires, plugs, coil, starter, relay, metal fuel lines, fan, belts, pulleys, etc. I have this still sitting in the bronco frame and it is ready to pull. I also have a cherry picker, so just bring a truck or trailer and we can move it. I am keeping the transfer case because I need it.

Brother Green. C6DE 6015-A is the decade (C) and year designation (6), Engineering numbers the A is the series.

The true date casting numbers will have what looks like to screw heads on each side of some numbers. Such as year 6 year, 6 june and 15 day. Or 6 15 6 in some cases.

If you want another date, look on the little flat pad just forward of the distributor, on top of the block, Just where the head sits on the block. You should see a number/s, a letter, and a number/s. These numbers are not cast, they are hand stamped.

For instance, The last one we got in was 5 M 12. 1965 Dec twelfth.

If I have written incorrectly then someone please advise.

Please do not scrap it.

I found it! Someone had told me it was on the passenger side. This tag was on the distributor bolt and I didn't have anything stamped on the flat in front of the distributor. Thanks for the help! No way I would scrap anything Bronco related!!!!;D

Congrats on the sale. Go up to "Thread tools" click on it, and there should be an option to "Mark as sold".
