How did that work, anyway? Did they send you Mecum plates and tell you
to go take pics? Do you have to give it to them and then they go take
pics? Do you give them a power of attorney to sell it for you or do you have
to go do paperwork with the new owner after the auction?

I took the pics myself. I took them with the California plates on so they just photo-shopped in the Mecum plates.
Yes, you sign over power of attorney so if the car sells they sign the pink and it's gone. The power of attorney form only applies to the auction, it's void after that.

How's your build going?

SLOW, Ok way too slow for my liking. Got most of the paint done but too many other projects keep getting in the way & there is always that work thing taking up Bronco time. %)

Yup, it should be lots of fun. I've had several Bronco friends both on here and off say they will show up.

New custom carpet. We kind of went out on a limb trying to match the original parchment mat. I wasn't sure how it would look but I'm really happy with it. Original mat comes with the truck if the buyer wants it.

Emoney, it is ironic that you posted this. You have some really wonderful posts in your short time here, and here are some screen captures to illustrate. Seems like you are now doing the thing that you used to hate? Good luck in life my friend. I hope your stroppe sells for a million dollars at your estate sale.

Thanks, but no need to respond to that post. I don't know the person. Let's just try and keep it a for sale thread.

We just replaced the master to valve brake hoses. The near 40 year old hoses were looking a little tired.;D

Loading up. I figured a test fit was probably a good idea.

This seems like the right venue, and the run number was decent. Is this market value? If not, what is?

$30k for a baja would seem like pretty solid money. after paying the fees and percentages and the other expenses associated with going to the auction the end number would be in the mid 20s.

the only reasons to go the the auction is to hit a home run or to sell it for sure. clearly the home run was the hope.

i think the only way to score a significantly higher number than that would be if it was james garner's truck or something such. meh...thats just me two cents and worth no more.

edit: i didnt see that the truck has a none original engine among other things.....i would be curious what the reserve was for this. i loved my 75 and would dearly love to have it back, but i wouldnt pay 30k for it....and its a pretty original truck.
