Looking for a 1974 fuse box diagram showing what each fuse does. Searched the internet and CB, but could not find anything on a 74.

I have that diagram (thank you seabiscuit68 and Viper), and it shows fuse number, but does not show the actual fuse box diagram. This is what I am looking for, but for a 1974.

Study this page & the NEXT few, which are derived from Seabiscuit's diagrams, with help from Viperwolf:
Well, bummer Steve? Looks like super motors has gone overboard on the advertisements.
I couldn’t access any additional pages after the first one opened because an ad for EV charging overlays half of the wiring diagram.
When you click on their ad, and then Click back to your page, you only have a second or two to click on a hyperlink before the ad shows back up.
Nice and annoying, as I’m sure they are shooting for.🙄😩

And bronco t, don’t worry too much about the diagrams not listing it as a “74 specific“ image.
While the fuse panels did change slightly over the years (mostly the molded in wording), the orientation and layout did not change at all that I remember.
I might be oversimplifying that, but I think they were all basically the same. Especially once they made it to the glove box.

And for reference, in case you’re looking at the backside of it, if you note the numbers, fuses #1 and #2 are powered from the ignition switch (black with green stripe wire), and the fuses #4 and #5 are constant hot (black with yellow stripe wire) with the small fuse #3 in the middle being on its own dedicated, discreet circuit (blue with red stripe) from the headlight switch.

@Jdgephar! That is exactly what I was looking for - Thank You!!! I assume the picture shows the correct orientation with the Dome Light and Cigarette lighter fuse in the lower left position?

@DirtDonk thank you for clarifying the limited changes through the years, and after seeing the pics I discovered that the fuse box was installed upside down and the diagram and description helps put it in perspective!.

Now the trouble shooting begins - the Dome and Cigar lighter are not working. Initially I found the fuse was missing so I installed a fuse and the dome light only works if I push the fuse in and hold it. I closed the fuse contacts a bit, but the dome light will only light when pressed in.

For the fuse only working if pushed in. I would unscrew and pull the fuse block out into the glove box and make sure the wires are tight to the contacts.

I wouldn't know since I only browse from a desktop with several adblockers.
When you click on their ad...
IDK why anyone would ever click on any ad anywhere. I certainly don't. When I want to buy something, I go shopping for it. When I don't want to buy something, seeing an ad only makes me remember to NOT shop with that advertiser.
