My drivers side mirror on my 1977 is busted! Tried looking everywhere and can’t find a replacement of this classic “remote controlled” drivers side mirror. Found a standard mirror that attached but would prefer to not use that. Any help on finding a replacement would be GREAT!!

When mine was damaged Northeast Ford was the only place I could find that had them. Although the condition was so bad I had to disassemble it to get it re chromed. The one listed above looks about 10 times better. They don't come up very often so you might want to think about grabbing that one.

Since these mirrors aren't reproduced (and I asked a couple of vendors a SC about it and they said "not likely" due to limited demand), it would be great if someone could write a tech article or video on restoring one of these.

The control cables are so small they usually end up breaking when disassembling and there you are. I think I heard of someone buying the 67-68 Mustang remote mirror version and using the "guts" to restore the Bronco specific ones.

My 2 cents......

I repaired/restored mine using a NE Ford used mirror and stripping the guts out of a repo mustang mirror to rebuild it. I wrote about it here but it wasn't really an instruction set. I'm kind of busy the next 2 weeks but when I get back I'll do a better write up of how I did it and the parts I used.
