Tried searching but still a little confused. I have a 1996 351W out of a full sized bronco. I'm bolting up a 4r70w. Will the flexplate that came on my engine work or do I need to order a different one? I did confirm its 164 tooth. Thanks.

Different needed.
The size, bolt pattern, balance are all perfect. The offset is wrong. It is only a minor difference. In theory it will all bolt together. but the convertor will be bottomed out against the flexplate putting a thrust load on the crankshaft and transmission.
