Speaking of a great weekend, did anyone on here get pics of Bryan Broberg's double roll on Widowmaker? I wasn't on the ride myself and have only seen the aftermath. I see from pics that Nick Hopman was on the ride with him before the roll...

I was on the ride and saw the roll. I don't believe that anyone got any photos of the actual roll. There was a guy there from Planet Flash which makes DVD's of events. He got the entire roll on video. He said it should take a few weeks to get the video together and ready for production.

It was fortunate that Bryan and his mother were both wearing 4-point harnesses and were not seriously hurt. Lesson learned - wear your seatbelts ALWAYS. Their roll was not on a huge obstacle or difficult trail, it was a smooth trail but very steep climb and when Bryan's Bronco quit running, he wasn't able to stop and the Bronco began sliding backwards. It got sideways and began to roll. It was lucky that they stopped at 2 rolls and landed tires down on the road below, with a little more mementum they could have easily kept rolling down the mountain.

Wow - good to hear that they are both safe and nobody was hurt.

How many Broncos were there?

There were actually 3 other roll overs at the event. We had a group of 3 Broncos from Georgia on our ride and one of them rolled on Saturday morning. He was lining up to go up Rail Bed and parked a little off camber. The Bronco slid back and caught a hole. It did one complete roll and landed on it's wheels. Again nobody got hurt but it did take out the windshield. Luckily it had a full family cage and the cage did it's job. Sorry no pic of this one.

The second and third other rolls were 2 - Lou Levy (broncoloupy) playing on the buried tires at 12:05 am Sunday morning and 3 - Lou Levy playing on the buried tires at 12:10 am Sunday morning. Lou did complain of a headache the next morning, but it wasn't from the roll overs! ;D

I want to second Suzy's assessment of the area - great trails, great people and a welcoming community. The trail guides provided by KYMC were really good. Grant, Ken, Matt, Tim, Ronnie, and Bud provided an excellent introduction to the area and showed everyone a great time.

Here are some more pics.

this and that

I would also like to compliment the event, trails, guides and people. A great time. Anyone who is within reasonable driving distance should check this place out-also very ATV friendly if you want to scout it out before bringing a bronco. Thanks to Suzy Duff for attending, Tom and crew of BD. Good to meet some first time bronco attendeeeees :

If NH will post the pic-one of the bronco groups had a heep running with them which meets the requirements for running with the "hardcore" bronco crew. :)
We saw many "interesting" rigs at the event including our trail leader who was running a 138" wheelbase buggy on 2.5 'wells, w/ rear steer, 54" Boggers, bigblock on propane...... unbelievable rig :)

Great place, Great people, Great trail guides,
even Great weather that provided really hard trails
Fri morning and beautifull conditions the rest of
the time. Here's my pics/vids... (Warning 56Kers,
vids are HUGE Megwise)

Being a NASCAR fan I thought this was cool.....

Stopping and waiting (did a lot of that for minor problems in
the hard core group)

http://luxjo.supermotors.net/HARLAN KY/DSC01724.JPG

As mentioned out trail guide's buggie. The baddest (and possibly
biggest) buggie I have ever seen......

Huge buggie "tackling" the first obsticle.

The other big bronc, taking the bypass (had steering issues).
Even the bypasses were off camber enough to be scary at times
and this trail was on a peak, so either side was a fall, way down
the Mnt.

The first of what must be a new trend, non ford bodies on
early broncos???

http://luxjo.supermotors.net/HARLAN KY/MOV01752.MPG

The early toyota????

http://luxjo.supermotors.net/HARLAN KY/MOV01761.MPG

Voted best sounding...... (Crank up the volume!!!)

http://luxjo.supermotors.net/HARLAN KY/MOV01762.MPG

Lou in one of most impressive pieces of
driving I've seen. Very stealthy................. ;D

http://luxjo.supermotors.net/HARLAN KY/MOV01763.MPG

Fordyota again.....

http://luxjo.supermotors.net/HARLAN KY/MOV01763.MPG

Taken the bypass (which most of us had to)

http://luxjo.supermotors.net/HARLAN KY/MOV01766.MPG

Impressive try in the "early jeep" ??, but still denied (love the
blower whine though)........

metmotor@charter.net
Thx,
Coker

Send to you as in a physical video tape copy??
(I could copy it to a VHS I think).

Or can right click and download it right to your comp
if you just want a digital copy.
