Storage fees accumulate fast around here..;D

Mr. Joe and I had to call it a draw..his wife didn't like any of the accomodation options we came up with. He owes me though..I broke through 110 miles of deep snow with my 4wd so he could drive the DD home through it..and all I got out of that was a free lunch.:p

Thanks for clearing the road.. It was in pristine condition for us. The wife said you owe her for something....Something that happened when I wasn't there....?:?

That was one crappy drive home, took me 6.5 hours.
There were crashes & roll overs every 8-10 miles up I-95, & I66.

I'm glad you made it safely... Should have had Mr Bill plow for you, but then again, his playdoh nose would run... Pretty nasty sight

Drew and I took 5+ hrs to get home and he slept most of the way. I woke him up to see the good wrecks. We saw at least 4 cars on lids and many in ditches etc.
Glad to meet up with everyone as usual and do some hob nobbin! Can't wait to see everyone at the Roundup and/or other events throughout the year!

It was good seeing all of you who attended the Hooter's meet and greet yesterday. It was also great to see some new faces at this years BOD and Roundup planning meetings. Once again there is a great staff of folks who will be putting together some very fun activities for everyone to enjoy.

After we got to Lou's I had to run up to our shop to put the Volvo inside and then get my car and drive back to York to my GF's which added another few hours. I got to her place at about 8:30, so it was a long ride considering we left at noon!

That was my first time driving the Volvo in snow/ice so I was driving pretty slow and cautious. We were running bobtail on the way home since I sent the 4 car trailer south with Karl for him to use, therefore, there was only about 4K pounds on the rear axle and 11.5K on the front.

I did notice that with all that torque on tap you have to watch because it will break the rear end lose real easy before you even know it. I did intentionally let it spin up a couple times to 20-30MPH over actual to get a feel for how it handled and at least it seemed to track very straight and did not want to fish tail.

At least it was not like a few years ago when we meet at Hooter's when we had the massive ice storm that coated everything in almost an inch of solid ice.

Got some sweet 31spline yukons to fit that rear......

I must have left town a bit earlier than you guys, I was just out in front of the storm.....

Lou, don't start so early next time.....;-)
Notice how I was one of the last to show up at the fire.....
Course, I didn't wait til then to start, well, maybe you just need practice...
Looking forward to another great year!

Thanks to Bill for hauling all the extra weight in parts for Matt....storage fees?? I really gotta pick up my Chit....

I want to thank everyone who braved the cold and wind (and some snow and ice on the way home!) for coming to Hooter's for another successful "kick off the new year" Hooters Meet and Greet in Richmond. There we a number of "regulars" who showed up but also a lot of new faces this year. It was good to see a few folks who learned about MEB during the 40th events are now making some of the more regional events.

This year Chuck (blazinchuck) won the farthest traveled not in a Bronco prize (~400 miles one way) and Walt Haydt won for farthest traveled in a Bronco (he and his wife drove ~350 miles one way in his street rod style half cab). Door prize lucky winners went home with a GC for floor mats, at track-bar riser, a 40th die cast, a dash key protector, an MEB hat and MEB shirt. There were a couple of successful parts swaps as well.

Next MEB event is the Snow Run at Paragon on February 24th.

Chris (ChrisinWV) - Sorry you drove all that way and missed the event - but really too funny! We need a new prize for "farthest driven who didn't actually make the event" . . .

Gary

He he, sorry Chuck, WE did meet, didn't realize that was you.
Cute Gary, I still had a good time, I saw cool broncos, met great bronco owners, got to chat with Hooter girls, have a great meal, unload parts on Bill, Give Mr Joe new rust spots to pick on, and I got to see the Volvo.
What did I miss?
I realized about half way down, how late I was gonna be, but figured what the heck. I had a good time anyway. Whose red trail rig between Jeff's and Brian's ? Nice rig.

The red one is Mike Ingrams. Anyway, glad you salvaged the trip and had a good time! See you at the snow run next month.

Thanks fellas! I think the event was extremely successful. It was great to put names and faces together with a hand shake. Glad to hear everyone is back home safe and sound. Maybe next year I can bring my rig up. I see Gary got a shot our load of parts. Here are some pics I made. Sorry if some are redundant of Gary's.
