Uwharrie trail conditions

I will be down there the weekend before for my first Zuwharrie. I will give a report on the trail conditions when I get back.

The Bronco gets all of the Love/Cash anyhow though 10:1 by comparison.

It's all about getting out there on the trail and having fun with the kids, family and friends.

See y'all

I'll be there friday am. I took my son down there this past sunday for dirt biking and the day started out real slick but got tackier as the day wore on. We saw quite a bit of winching. Gary you are correct, that whole trail system is totally different when it is wet. It's not likely that we won't get rain between now and then. If it rains during the week leading up to the Shootout it will be slick. Nick, count me in for 2 people for the dinner. Scott J.

I'm really hopeful that it isn't just sloppy muddy, but it would be nice to have just enough rain to keep the dust down. That red clay is almost impossible to get off the rig. I'm sure I still have some stuck to my Bronco from 4 years ago when I rode in the thick mud.

Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Less than a week away! Just checked the 10-day forecast. Some PM showers tomorrow than no rain until Saturday - scattered T-storms. Should be nice on Friday then depends on just how scattered the storms are on Saturday! ;D

Looking forward it!

Just came back from a weekend wheeling trip

Unlike years past the erosion, dig-outs, ruts, etc are NOT being repaired during the winter.

Saturday wasn't much of a problem(my horse rides on 37's). The last step-up before kodak took some skinny pedal.

Buckets of rain came saturday night, making for some interesting wheeling Sunday. Lotsa cable was pulled as the red clay just clogged up lugs and made racing slicks out of tires.

Still trying to figure out if the checkbook can stand back to back trips

Saturday was nice: NC Ford guy was representing the Early Bronco nicely.

The sami did ok made it up Daniel with only one tug up a shelf that was a lot higher than I remember. The Bronco is ready to go see y'all Thursday nite.

NC Ford guy you better make the trip while the gas is cheap or you'll regret it when it tops $5.99 9/10.

Ian from Xtreme 4x4 was there running his disel on rancid french fry oil.

We'll meet approx 8:30-9:00 each morning at the big parking lot on Dutch John Rd. (middle of Rocky Mtn. Loop)

We will swing through that parking lot several times throughout the day to pick up any late arrivals. And depending on the numbers and capabilities of rigs we'll figure out what trails to run in the morning.

We'll be on CB channel 6 as long as there's not a lot of radio traffic, we may switch to another channel to use on the trail, but will monitor channel 6 as we get closer to the parking lot incase someone is waiting.

Here' a link to a map of the trails with the parking lot were we will meet in the morning.

We're heading out either late this afternoon or early evening. So we'll probably pull in pretty late. See you all there!
