No blindfold contest this year. Feeling out the new location and what we can do. They may not appreciate tire tracks in the field yet.

good thing this was not announced earlier......attendance might of taken a hit ;D

The Roundup Staff and I look forward to seeing you all next week and we’re ready to have a great time at a new location which will offer lots of new things to see and do for everyone!

Please read the MEB 2014 Roundup Participant Info carefully before you arrive at the event next week. It would also be a good idea to print out a hard copy to take with you.

I have also included a link to the Rausch Creek Membership Form-Waiver which can be filled out on your PC and printed out. One of these forms is required for each adult and each child who will be going on trail rides.

See you soon!

Any room at Rausch Creek for the blind fold event?

I'm sure there is, but then there is the issue of working in the time to do it since that has traditionally been an evening activity at the campground before and after dinner. Having it during the day would interefere with the trail rides and/or street cruise.

With all the changes and added planning due to the move this year, this is one of the items we have pulled off the schedule until we see how it all works at the new locations.

Beer update:
I just confirmed the cash bar for Friday and Saturday nights from 5:30-9:30 so that we will have bar service during our main time around dinner and awards.

I have requested the following beers which I think will cover a range that most all of us can choose from:
Yuengling Lager, Sam Adams Seasonal, Corona, Bud Light, Miller Lite. I believe the cost should be $3 on all of these.

No tipping will be required since we were required to pay $25 per hour for the bartender.

It has been MEB policy since our inception that the club does not purchase alcohol or related items (bartender fee in this case), so to help us out of this prediciment, Grace Electric (Lou Levy) has stepped up and offered to cover the bartender fee. If anyone out there would like to split that with Lou and cover $100 for one night of that, please let me know ASAP.

In our 16 years, this has presented a unique situation for us, but I think the cash bar is one we can all live with. IMO, it's certainly better than saying no alcohol at all, or disregarding their policy and risking getting off on the wrong foot with a place that I think everyone will enjoy.

Unlike some previous posts I read, I'd like to encourage participants to work with us by complying with the camground's policy on this matter. It may cost you a few dollars more, but you will not have to lug a cooler around with you either.

Thanks again for working this out! Do they have vodka, kahula, and cream by any chance?

Looks as if Tasker beat me to it, but I am happy to throw in to defray the costs of the bartender as well.

I think I have hauler envy now! I wish I could haul that many!

Thanks for offering to split that with Lou!

If anyone else wants to help out with this, maybe we can divide it by 4, or even someone for each hour.

NO, No no, the mac is used dry for portraits, so your fur should be fine! I think you just like to eat it while you are pretending to be artistic!

They have a full bar inside the camp office / store by the restaurant, but for the cash bar up at the pavilion, I only requested beer since that is what nearly all the participants I have seen over the year have been drinking and I figured we'd keep it simple on our first attempt with this new twist. If it goes well and we have requests to expand the offerings in the future, I am sure they could accomodate us.

If you are up for splitting it 3 ways ($66 each) , we can do that as well, just let me know.

I have always had to pay double for a 3 way, but in this case I am definitely good for $66 to help cover it.

How about we just all chip in to the cause? Tasker can stand at the entrance with a sign around his neck and a can to take donations
