That would be a great kids activity, followed immediately by emergency first aid training!

No, we have a couple better kid's activities this year since there is no lake for fishing. One involved a 375 degree heat press, and the other involved a 1500+ degree propane fired furnace and old school soldering irons. Seriously! ;D

1. Custom Bronco heat transfers onto white t-shirts and then make them tie dye.

2. Form and then solder metal cookie cutters in one of a few custom shapes: U15 Bronco, U14 Bronco, Tractor, Dog House

My dad's an old school shop teacher and has been doing the cookie cutters with kids at local festivals, so he decided to make some Bronco patterns in addition to other ones he has.

Drew, that sounds like fun for the kiddos and adults! ;D

Giddy up!
We wussed out of camping and will be staying at the Comfort Inn. I plan to arrive Tuesday evening, will be at RC on Wednesday morning to trail guide.

For those interested, I have stayed at all three major hotels in Pine Grove:
Hampton Inn is very nice with plenty of parking. Nice rooms, amenities and breakfast. Just a little too pricey for me.
Comfort Inn is nice and perfect for my taste. Excellent parking (accommodates big rigs). Nice rooms, amenities and breakfast (waffles!). Reasonably priced.
Econo Lodge is the least expensive of the bunch. Plenty of friends stay there when we visit RC, but I prefer the Comfort Inn. Very reasonably priced.

All three hotels are right off I-81, you can see them from the interstate. Merely 5-7 minutes from the campground and 10-ish from RC.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Dang Drew, if Dad got a couple done ahead, we could make cookies up ahead of time for the kids to decorate. I'd be all in for that! We could pound out a few batches of sugar cookies and then line them up with icing and decorations. That would be a twist on the Bronco decorating contest!

I have at least one of each Bronco now. If you want to do that, let me know.

I wouldn't have time to man the decorating booth. Have to get whoever is doing kid's activities or another Mom to help. Maybe do the cutters this year, we'll plan ahead & I'll bake up & freeze ahead of time for next year and see if I can line up a helper.

I understand the time issue with you trying to man your display as well.

I'm not sure if we can do it this year or not, but my mom and Stephanie might be able to do this? I will have to ask if they are up for it this year on short notice.

We could bake them ahead of time or in the camp kitchen next to the pavilion that MEB has rented.

I need to see if I can find someone to head up the decorating part of it. With all the new campground has to offer, we have a good bit for the kids to do with the following already planned:

  • Bronco heat transfers and then tie dye T-shirts
  • Spin Art machine
  • Making Bronco cookie cutters
  • Bronco coloring contest
  • Pin the tailpipe on the Bronco

The shirts and cookie cutters are new for this year. The Spin art was new last year or the year before. We have not done the pin the tailpipe on the Bronco in several years (I use one a framed BFG Bronco poster for this).

The coloring contest has been a staple over the years and we do both U14 and U15 3D cutout, fold and tape Broncos.

I'll see if we can get the main event itenerary and the kid's activity iteneraries nailed down ASAP to see what all we can fit in.

For those who have never attended the East Coast Bronco Rondup or another MEB event, they are very family friendly as you can see!

I think that we are getting a free one day pass with two days paid, but Chris will have to confirm this since he is the one that recently worked out those details with RC.

Don't want to go thorugh all 15 pages again, but anything ever happen with this?

Yes, pay for two days at RC, get one day free wheeling at the event or you can use at a later date, up to 1 year.

Thanks Drew! Appreciate all the work on making this epic. Either way Im down in cottage land (H28) and if anyone wants to pre-game before the big show we could easily organize a happy hour or two.

-Other person named Drew

I'm there.
