I haven't gotten much done on the project in the last 2 weeks or so. I spent 5 days in the hospital and have been home recovering since last Tuesday. I hope to be back on this by the end of the month but don't have the "all clear" yet.
Meanwhile I am going to try rounding up some "Bronco money" so I have posted all my extra parts over in the classified section. Go take a look and help a brother out!

I might have to sit here and post all the pictures I have to help with the Boredom. This really sucks not being able to go turn wrenches on my Project.

After a 4 month hiatus we are back at it. Some Things didn’t go as quick as planned and some frustration and “builders remorse” kicked in to further side track the Project. However my good friend “Elkhart bronco” and I are going to get this Bronco back on the road this year! we are sticking with the plan of patching the inner body panels and replacing the outer skins. It has turned out to be A LOT less money in replacement panels but A LOT more effort to get it done. I want to thank Elkhart Bronco (Bill) and Stupidboy (pat)for their help and advice.

I am going to post up some pics tomorrow after the work stops. I think that everyone will agree there is a lot of welding being done! It feels good to be back out there working on it. ;D

Todays progress

Here are some pics of todays progress.I Put in about 10 hours today starting with getting the tub bolted back down to the temp frame. After that was done Bill started welding up the kick panels he was at it for about 4 or 5 hours and I sure do apriciate his help. we also moved the door supports out of the way so I can put doors on it to get the body panels lined back up. About this time Bill had to take off.

So I screwed something up in these photo's does anyone know what i did?

Front inner fenders

I started to get ahead of myself yesterday I got a little excited about the progress we made and was going to put the front inner panels on. I realized it was going to be a pain in the butt to clean the fire wall with all that stuff in the way so I took the inner panels back off and did it the right way. I am going to have to switch the core support to a V8 core support before I mount it anyway....But it sure looked good while it was sitting there.

My plan is to get the inner fenders/core support back on this week. I also have to get the bulk headback in. Next weekend is open up for working on patching holes/and hopefully starting to hang some outer body panels starting with new rockers.

I believe I have the Bronco fever again. I am driving my family crazy referencing everything back to the Bronco... I am taking the day off from working on it and spending the time with the family.... But I can’t stop thinking about working on it! ;D

Here’s a few cell phone pics with the inner supports sitting in place. Like I said hopefully sitting on there for good next weekend.

Excellent!! I find there is no better motivation than a few weeks away from it.. Kinda makes progress slow, but it does seem to work for me.. 4wks off, two weeks on, or whatever... It will be done one day..

Just read the 3 pages here... great work so far and really not much more to go... In the end i think you will be really happy it did not sell...keep working at it and it will be done. I find working on broncos are a great hobby and mental therapy from life.

Core support

I didn’t get a ton of work done yesterday but I still made a little progress. I have 2 front fender / core supports one for a 6cyl and one for an 8cyl. The 8 cyl is in pretty rough shape so I decided to convert the 6cyl one to an 8 cyl. I am just taking measurements and duplicating the stock 8cyl one. I am going to drop the radiator mounts 2” to compensate for my 2 “body lift I will be installing. My goal is to have this on the Bronco by Friday. Saturday I hope to be putting the rocker panels back on.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I am on a mission! I will stop short of saying I am going to have this done on a certain date because that didnt work out so well the last time. I do have a goal and am planning to make it to one of the major Bronco events with it this year. I am going to do something every day with it untill it is done. Which leads me to today.

I feel I made some more major progress today. I got the front clip done and bolted down and then I sat my front fenders and grill on the Bronco. So far so good! all the fabricating and welding patch panels that has gone on and the fenders fit really good!! so now I have to move on to getting some doors ready to bolt on the post so that I can hang the new rockers.

I had to stand and stare at it for about 15 min cause it was the first time it resembled a Bronco since last august!
