I'm collecting parts to put a 250 in my 66. I came across a M5OD-R2 5 speed from an f150/300 truck that will bolt to a 250 from a 76 Maverick. I got the adapter to bolt up the Dana 20 & had to cut about a 1/4 inch off the output shaft to get it bolted together. Next up is to rebuild the 250. Comp Cams has 2 cams that both say they work well with stock components. One is 500-4500rpm high energy and the other is 1000-5000rpm also high energy

Anyone have experience with either of these? or a similar one? I did some looking over at FordSix performance but it seems they are trying to get top HP & I want low end torque.
