3.25 or 4.25 turns when rebuilding P/S box?

What do you guys recommend? Should I go w/ the 3.25 or 4.25 when I get my 74 power steering box rebuilt by West Texas Offroad. Will it be too twitchy w/ a 3.25 turns box?

Thanks.

I had my '74 box upgraded to 3.25 turns, by WTO, approx. 7 months ago. The steering is very responsive and fun to drive. WTO performed a quality rebuild! I am able to drive 80 mph on the freeway without any vibration or wondering with this setup: WTO rebuilt box, flaming river lower steering shaft, rebuilt column, and a new drag link.

Good luck,
Ed

A lot of people that drive on the street feel the lower turn boxes are a little to quick. I'd stick to a 4 turn box as its a great improvement over the 6 turn box. I doubt if the 3 turn box will be twitchy as long as your aligment is correct. the 3 turn box is great for a sports cars that need to turn but broncos are not sports cars and already turn pretty quick. Also some people prefer the 6 turn box off road as it puts less strain on the box itself making it easier to turn.
Over all if you algiment is good either box will work fine.

Go with the 3.25 turn gearing. Also tell them to firm up the valving. You'll love the way it drives on and off road.(80 mph to rock crawling)

Well I ask for 4 but got 3.25 I think it is too much of a good thing ...
I drive a extra long truck then go to our short box..and to mee the 3.25 is too chopy...But I can still get along find at 60 down the hwy ..I just wonder what would happen in that panic moment and crash ...Running buddy redid his in 6 turns I sure think he was wrong but it's his ...
