here is my 76 with P78x15 Gateway Buckshots on factory 15x5.5 wheels, which are 33x9.75, these are the only tire that I have ever had that actually measure 33" tall on wheel

I'm redoing a stock uncut 77, 2.5 Duff lift.wanted to run 10x 15's on stock rims. Thoughts? I could go to 9.50x 15's if necessary but I really want to keep using the stock hubcaps and stock rims. Don't want a body lift.

1968 U15 with 351W, NV3550. Here is mine with 285/85r16, 33x10.5. It has a 3.5 suspension and 1" body lift. Drives great, just a bit more sensitive than my old setup with 32x11.5.

Not saying the look is much different, but 235/85-16 converts to 31.7/9.25-16. So very little width difference from a 33/9.50-15, but over an inch smaller outside diameter. That difference may or may not be significant to someone.

Except the most 33's would be lucky to be 31.7 inches tall. I'm sure some of them come close to being 33, but most are 32 or less.

measure the 2 mounted on same wheel and on Bronco, the height is within a 3/16", the only tire that I have seen that is actually 33" is the old Gateway Buckshot, mounted on a stock 15" wheel it is right at 33" on Bronco

Here are a couple pics of my Bronco before I started all the suspension work I am involved with. It is setting on 33x10.50-15 tires on factory Ford aluminum wheels. Lift at the time is about 2.5 inches. My apologies if the pictures aren't the best.
